Killer is Dead

A whole glut of screens from Suda 51's Killer is Dead have emerged today, offering a closer look at the game's stylish cel-shaded art and its OTT violent swordplay.

Retaining the spirit of Suda 51's No More Heroes and the bonkers Killer 7, Killer is Dead sees you assuming the role of a prisoner who must escape his own execution and kill his assassin before it's too late.

Apparently, it's something of a "dark side 007" tale, albeit with a few nutty twists of its own, including the game's hero Mondo Zappa having an arm that can transform into a gun or a drill that can absorb the blood of enemies for an 'Adrenalin Burst' attack. Handy.

	Might be my most-anticipated game of the year. As much as I loved Shadows of the Damned (And not so much Lollipop Chainsaw.) this looks like Grasshopper's best in awhile. Not to mention anything that they're calling a "spiritual successor to Killer7" is an instant buy for me. I just hope it retains that game's batshit crazy philosophical dialogue. That's what made that game so great.

	Still need to pick up Shadows of the Damned, my Nintendo-fanboy friend loves Suda and my first and only experience with his work is Lollipop Chainsaw so needless to say I am also a huge fan now(already being a big time fan of James Gunn DEFINITELY helped though), looking forward to this game now and kind of want to play Killer 7 and No More Heroes.

	I generally hate games like this, and especially hate the art style, but at the same time, I'm glad they make games like this, because the gaming world needs more diversity.

	Funny when I were kid and in school for Art lesson. My group class kids and we have drawing anything we want and I drawn like those art style but I weren't good at and I were bottom than other kids in my classroom who is top than for better drawns. This is not exam and it just fun competitive for who top to bottom. It just how good drawn on each kids and myself using near like that art style. I were upset and fed up cos I were bottom. Hahahahaha funny lol :)

	@15 cool English bro, but I don't think everyone will get the gay sex references.... on topic - might be a good game, I like suda's style to an extent, I just wish it was grounded more in reality. Always with the crazy huge weird shaped Asian bad guys - I think it'd be cooler with human type enemies. the fuck do I know anyways

	Is it me or does the artwork look like a mass of jumbled color? Not knocking the game or anything but I can't make heads or tails of the art.

	Artistically, this looks amazing. Gameplay, this will probably be ho-hum like the rest of Grasshopper's games. Hopefully it's more Shadows of the Damned than Lollipop Chainsaw.
