Didn't notice my list updating to reflect anything Grave.
Gonna fire up Halo shortly and jump in, hopefully there's less recycling of the same areas with slightly different missions. |

From what I can gather there are actually new maps this time rather than recycled, which didnt bother me anyway as I found it fun murdering on Valhalla or any other place we've seen before.

I saw this on the add-on market place, think I'll wait until I've played something else to clear the space before I carry on, I still need to finish episode 5 anyway, but free dlc is always welcome ^-^ to those complaining, stuff it up you're pie hole, it's free, story driven, enjoyable, and what moron expected every mission to be different? Do they have any idea the amount of work it'd take to do that sort of thing?
Honestly my favourite part of Spartan ops has been the Valhalla missions. Something I'd aways wanted to do, fight bots on maps like that, if only we could customise it, turn it to endless, and many others things... next gen, maybe... maybe... |

Honestly, what part of Spartan Ops is enjoyable? I found Firefight to be the better of the two since Firefight is customizable, has MUCH more maps than Spartan Ops has shown, and a risk in dying. Even the Valhalla missions were a bit tedious (excluding the Mantis one), its usually just "Go here, kill this wave of enemies" or "Defend this area until the Pelican arrives". If Season 2 shows some variety, then I'll be impressed, but so far, I am not.

| They need to fix the playlists, it's killing me. No Doubles? Should've been there from the start, as well as the handful of fan-favorites that they've either removed or outright neglected. New maps are welcome. Hopefully we get some smaller ones, as this game is severely lacking in that department. |

@21: Just because it's free doesn't mean it's quality. At least DLCs and Expansion Packs have value. Some people may enjoy Season 2 of Spartan Ops but if they actually decided to put a price on it and the quality of it increased significantly, then I would opt to buy it.
It's like the Mass Effect 3 Extended Cut. It may have been free, but was it worthwhile? Not really. But there are those who were thankful for the update, but would've rather seen more, even if they put a price on it. |

Not even free DLC can reinvigorate my desire to play this game.
I'm sorry, but previous Halo titles had me hooked for months. Halo 4 has had my attention for barely a few weeks and now I do not wish to put the disk in, unless for achievements.
As #10 said, Firefight was 10x the mode that Spartan Ops is! The campaign is only 'good' and not excellent as with previous Halo's. I hope 343 pull their finger out for the next one. BRING BACK FIREFIGHT. |

Maybe everyone should try the second half of season one before bashing it? If you spent two minutes researching, you'd find out that 343i has made DRAMATIC IMPROVEMENTS on the Spartan Ops chapters. Don't believe me? There are reviews all over the internet praising 343i and the new episode.
From what I've read, there are all brand new maps (open sandbox type), mid mission cutscenes, and the missions actually feel like a campaign. I don't know about all of you, but I'm excited to try it and give Spartan Ops another chance. |

| I don't get why people say Firefight was better than Spartan Ops. Atleast Spartan Ops adds to the overall story of the games, whereas firefight was just a less fun version of Horde from Gears. Cant wait to see what they do with the rest of season one and really hope they do another season or two. |

| @32 Exactly. Firefight rehashes wave after wave of the same enemies on multiplayer maps. Spartan Ops is just a quicker paced more story-oriented version of it. I don't understand why people complain about the exclusion of firefight from halo 4 unless its playing offline/custom game types... which I'm sure it isn't. |
