I am just saying that to me, this costume pack seems like Ninja Theory's desperate attempt at getting more sales for the game just because there is a costume pack that makes him look like the more popular Dante. I don't give a damn about his appearance, I just cannot stand his personality or the writing of the game as a whole. |

| Wait. . . . .what about Dante's personality in this retelling? At first I thought it was going to be a little stupid but I at least allowed the game and it's characters into my DMC life. I must say all and all Dante's personality along with so many other iconic characters surprised me to the point where I was amazed by the story over all. People who hate the game are the only ones unfortunate not to experience and no I'm not only talking @merzitar I'm talking about people as a whole who have dragged one of imo GotY's 2013 metacritic score through the mud. I have faith in where Ninja Theory is going with this new universe and you'd do well to support them because it's this or no DMC at all. |

I don't like having to replay every level more than once to 100% them, but that is because I am hating on the achievement design.
As far as the game goes, while I absolutely hate the new look of Dante I think the gameplay is just as good as the rest. So I would recommend the game to anyone. I also think that I will be nabbing up the classic skin just to make the game that much more enjoyable for myself. Knowing my luck though the classic skin won't show up during cut-scenes. |

It was probably planned all along... I just assumed this was coming... But I'm sure they are hoping it will placate the people who wont buy the game because Dante looks different.
Personally I like old Dante, but find myself really liking new Dante too. And loving the story. Most interesting Devil May Cry story since its original. |

Of course, Devil May Cry games have never been 100% serious. Please trust me when I say that I am not hating this game for the sake of it. I'm not one of those. Nobody freaked out when Halo Reach was announced and Master Chief wasn't the main character. Not too many people cared that they rebooted the Spiderman movies. The best part about this though is that it's still Dante and people are still freaking out. |

The gameplay is fun but the forced swearing is really annoying in this game. It bugs me in the same way that Bulletstorm bugged me, they just threw in a ton of childish insults for the hell of it.
But like I said, the gameplay is good as always and the classic Dante skin will hopefully shut some people up. |

If you're going to go so strongly in a new direction, if you REALLY feel that's what you need to do, then for god's sake go for it. I'll respect you for having the conviction to challenge the norm.
But don't then lose your balls and make a U-turn and throw your hands up saying "ALRIGHT here's your classic Dante, GOD. Will you stop complaining now!?" because I'll just lose a chunk of respect.

Well I not hate this game. This game is already great. Well myself is gay so I fancy this new Dante look and he is young anyway. I loved this game because it got almost huge gameplay that near same to original DmC series.
One of best games this year well this game is only top best 2013 game moment before some of Feb and March games would climb over DmC: Devil May Cry for better game over it. I am so proud with Ninja Theory because they did fantastic job with DmC: Devil May Cry.
Look forward DLC coming soon from preorder. But if non players to preorder game then have buy it in Marketplace anyway.

Game is so recommend if you huge fans of DmC series and hack and slash games then get it. I knew and understand some of you dislike look of Dante is because of gay look like but it is doesn't matter if Dante look like gay or way of sexy young male like real life. It just game and just be enjoy through game and learns and follow the story. Young Dante is very handsome to me (don't care about whoever thinks about it).
It's DmC series of reboot. Come on some of you not want this game because of young Dante look. Just ignore his look and enjoy game. That's all matter. It just game. Not like young Dante would jump out of TV and kiss your faces? Hahaha funny joke yeah but it is make sense to me you don't have worry about his look and again just enjoy game that is important.

@53-55 i dont really see where your coming from, i havent seen anyone complain because dante looks "gay" or because they have to fancy the main character to play something, a studio changed the look of a character that is iconic to audiences around the world, they would have had this backlash no matter what they changed it too whether that be a good looking guy, a fat old man or a hot woman with giant breasts.
now personally i have no problem with them changing the character... i dont like this new look but still dont mind them changing it but it certainly has nothing to do with me not being gay so not fancying the new one |

| I must be one of the few in the known universe that likes the re-design :/ old Dante was a cool design and so is the new one but just in a different more western way. Funny people called him emo dante though when its the original with his swept hair thats similar to Leon (who people also said looked emo >_>) who actually resembles that style loosely. |

| @3 I'm a hard core DMC fan and have bought everygame since getting the first one at launch, and I can say I love this game. DMC is a great update on the Devil May Cry formula and is a lot of fun. For those who don't like the new look, you have to accept that things will change over time, but that doesn't mean they're bad. Look at Wind Waker, it had a new look for Link but it was still a great game. And look at those game that don't update for the times. Do you still hear anything about Silent Hill or Onimusha? |

| Played the demo of this. Loved the gameplay, but still hated the character overhauls. Will definately have to get this costume pack when I finally get the game. I'll be a lot happier using that DMC3-based costume. Otherwise, from what I've played it's a very fun game, it just doesn't feel like a Devil May Cry game. |

Hmmm. Why hasn't anyone mentioned that the classic looks of both Dante and Nero come standard without dlc for beating the game on its various modes?
The game comes with 4 skins. The standard skin is the new look. That look is hard to come off of because, and doing my best not to spoil anything, dantes hair length and color slowly changes each time he enters devil mode and relies on that power.
When you beat the game the first time. They give you the end result of what has happened to him as a costume. And they give him a hybrid of his own look combined with neros look. Without changing his facial features at all, this small change seems to age him 5 years. And makes you realize nothing but his hair and one facial scar is all they changed.
The third costume to be unlocked is "coatless" dante. Which is a black hair dante again, which is fun because the "demonic changes" still affect this costume. Its kinda lame, kinda cool. Either way, that is puts the game at 3 costumes before you even finish dante must die mode. Thats a few more than previous dmc's have offered.
Then when you finally beat dante must die mode. You get almost an exact replica of dmc 1, could be 2 or 4? Who knows. Either way, its the dante haters want. Still need a reason to complain even they gave everyone want they wanted? Here it is! Its his super dante mode. As with any other super mode,, it reduces your score by 50%!
You get to play as the full fledged dante, in all his adult glory, but at the age old price of less style for playing in your most powerful form.
So you get four costumes with your purchase of dmc. Two are white hair throw backs to what capcom has provided fans in the past, anime style dante (thankfully without his nonsensical comments) and a nero homage. And two takes on new dante.
That isnt selling out or trying to "make up for a mistake of changing the look". It was them giving you the best of both worlds. They knew what they were doing. And i think they did it well. This is my favorite dmc hands down.
Sooooo. Tl:dr. This isnt an attempt to sell the game with a white hair dante. They already had those things at launch. |

I honestly didn't mind the demo, it wasn't bad.
I just thought that it didn't feel like a real DmC game.
I think I will get it eventually and I will most likely enjoy it. |
