Most movies that are made from games turn out to be... not very good being the politer term, but, having said that, if this film can get a few more well known names other than Fassbender then... well... it might turn out pretty good.

| If they do this right, it will be amazing. If they can sign Fassbender on to do each movie, obviously being Desmond and Desmond's ancestor in each film, they could make an awesome series out of this in my opinion |

| One more step taken care of on this project. I'm cautiously excited by this movie. Video game movies have a terrible reputation, but this series has such a rich story that I just can't help but feel it just might work. We'll have to see though. |

'Michael Lesslie' on youtube just yields results about some guy and his car.
'Michael Lesslie skirt' just comes back with videos of a 147 break in snooker.
'Michael Lesslie heavy metal drummer' returns results on Wilco.

Halo didn't make it as Microsoft weren't prepared to release the creative rights to Hollywood studios. As for previous game/film crossovers I can only imagine that studios (or Uwe Boll) have butchered games based on their interpretation as opposed to what we know and love.
Ubisoft have led the way by creating their own studio, probably to ensure the story they have created is kept as true as possible. Microsoft have quickly followed suit to do the same with Halo.
I think it'll be good - Ubisoft have obviously not been swayed with a big name and perhaps found someone more suited to what they are looking to achieve. Bringing Fassbender on early hopefully lends some experience and acting talent. Looking forward to it and hope it makes it to the big screen. |

If I were them, I'd make a film about the very (or semi) origins of the Assassins Brotherhood. That way they draw in the devout fans who want to learn the lore, and have a good plot to move forward through.
Then save the animus reveal for like a 'twist' ending to surprise the casual movie-goer.
But that's why I would never want to do a game tie-in movie; You have to please both the people who have played the games and those who know nothing about it. Personally, if it was a rehash of the Creed 1/2 story, I'd probably get bored. The coolness of seeing a live-action version of something you've seen before wears off fast. |
