Namco Bandai's Pac-Man Championship Edition DX is now available to download for Windows 8 and Windows RT operating systems, delivering the revamped Pac-Man gameplay experience that originally released for digital platforms including XBLA in 2010.

Featuring an array of bright, neon-drenched mazes to much through, with a Score Attack mode, Time Trials mode and Ghost Combo mode to choose from, Pac-Man Championship Edition DX is all about gobbling up them dots and power pills before turning the tables on the marauding ghosts.

You can grab Pac-Man Championship Edition DX for Windows 8 and Windows RT at $9.99 in the United States, £6.99 in the UK and €8.49 in Europe from the Windows Store.

wakka wakka blitz ball.

Its £6:99 in the UK btw.

Also if anyone is having an issue finding it as the windows store is insanely inconsistent. If you like on your games tab and click on the games for windows sub header it brings up an alternative front instead of going through the market place. This has blazblue and Gunstringer on as well.

@3 its the same price as the xbox version. But you do raise a valid point when saying that 9:99 looks more pricey then 800msp. I myself thought the same. Might be an interesting move if MS turn towards real currency and ditch the points system.

At some point Pac-Man is going to be so evolved that he'll have his own FPS game where you shoot mini Pac-Man's.

@7: But only recently got connected to Live. And the site wouldn't promote games before they get live enabled. It's a good move in my eyes.

@Topic:
I'll wait for a sale.

@5 I understand that 9.99 equates to 800msp, this is not the issue.

I am pretty sure I got the live version for 200msp and the phone version for $.99

I have the original Pac-Man on XBLA - as well as the two upgrades... the latter of which is the same exact game as this one. Even if I had Windows 8, I wouldn't buy it again (not even for more GS)... there's nothing new!

They should have included it for FREE with Windows 8/RT... sort of a "Welcome to the new version of Windows!"

If you want additional GS... borrow someone's iPad and download, "Wordament." It's free, and you can knockout 50gs in a couple of hours (YES... on the iPad - if you can spell)!!!
