EA Sports has today revealed the nine golfing legends you'll be able to face in Tiger Woods PGA Tour 14, including the likes of cover stars Arnold Palmer and of course, Tiger Woods, as well as Seve Ballesteros, Ben Hogan, Bobby Jones, Jack Nicklaus, Gary Player, Sam Snead and Lee Trevino.

You'll be able to rewrite golfing history and "take them down", according to the trailer, with the potential to lift the Claret Jug, slip into the coveted Masters Tournament Green Jacket and defeat Jack Nicklaus' record of 18 major victories if you're good enough.

This latest instalment in the Tiger PGA series sees more courses than ever before with 20 including Augusta National Golf Club, the Old Course at St Andrews, Pinehurst No. 2 Restored and The Players Stadium Course at TPC Sawgrass, 35 playable golfers such as Lexi Thompson, Bubba Watson, Keegan Bradley, Rickie Fowler and Paula Creamer among others, and a host of features including customisable swings and more.

Check out the new trailer below to see all nine legends, and head into the gallery for seven new screenshots. Tiger Woods PGA Tour 14 is out on March 26th, 2013 in North America before releasing worldwide on March 28th, 2013.

Even though this is a yearly release game, ideas like this keep it pretty fresh feeling. I liked '13 quite a bit. Might pick this up.

@4 There are. Golfers are their own referees and must call their own penalties.

@5 There are a lot of rules in golf, most give you a 2 stroke penalty or disqualify you.

I still don't class golf as a sport though more a past time OT a bad referee decision in golf cud lead to a lot of cracked heads warriors style lol

Are the PGA Tour games easy to get into? I might pick this up, but I've never played a sports game. I'm willing to try it, though.

There aren't referees per se but their are Rules Officials that are constantly out on the course during tournament play to rectify any calls or for overall ruling. Golf is a game of honesty, hence why they call it the gentlemans game. Penalties are called out on your self or by a playing partner. And for all you out there saying golf isn't a sport, go ahead and give it a go. See how well you do, or in fact don't do. My 1 year old nephew can shoot a basketball or soccerball

@ the guy asking the Ref question. Golf is the only game that you play the course and yourself. I personally didn't like golf until I played it, and it is very fun and addicting. A game where a teen to senior can be pro. and one of the only sports where you can drink.

I need to get another TW game, I kinda gave up on them. I am tired of new ones every year and no real changes done to the game. Just who you defeat. I would like to pay the TW sim part where you get to bang strippers and crash escalades. That would be a fun addition. Or an actual Course making tool, instead of having to pick from courses.

@#13 That's a bit disheartening. I'll check it out if EA releases a demo, though.

This franchise is riddled with over priced DLC on day one it seems to get worse every year they really need to stop, the amount of courses that are locked on the disc that you have to pay for after buying the game is a joke. Not to mention how they try and suck you into spending microsoft points on in game boosts and coins, EA really are thieving pricks these days.

@13 & 15 - Learning curve really isn't too steep. There are various difficulties that can be used to best suit your needs. Depending on difficulty, it's easier or harder to hit the ball straight, margin for pulling the swing stick back straight and forward decreases the higher the difficulty. There is also a club tuner function that can help fix your natural draw or fade (right or left). Also, with the newer games you can also set how challenging the competition is on tour. By no means is it a difficult game to pick up.

@16 - I agree the courses are over priced - but if you are that in to the series I would highly recommend buying the collectors edition. It comes with additional courses (also, when pre-ordered most stores give a course as well too). And I thought the coins were a genius idea. The more you play, the more your rewarded. I was able to unlock 3 courses for free just by putting in the time.

Best new feature this year, real time weather... now including night golf! Oh and playing historical courses...
