lolololol EA must've forgot about leagues from around the world. Serious? Not 1 English, Italian or German player deserves to be in the Team of the Year? This is more biased, ignorant and rigged than the Video Game Awards. |

@9 So you're saying that players like Gallas, Azpilicueta and Kolo Toure are better than Pique, Alves and Ramos? Seriously?! And you think that Scholes is better than Alonso? Also, the team is in a 4-3-3 formation, which would probably make Bale play in the front three if included. He is good, but not better than the other three. |

@ all the haters I said "english" not english league. Also even if you do include the prem very few players would touch that starting 11. Maybe RVP, Bale, David Silva perhaps.. But all of those are just thoughts, none of them would walk in to that team (RVP being the most likely imo) And @9 That comment is a joke right? Felani.. Scholes... Lampard... Garard? The BEST midfielders IN THE WORLD? I think your the one who needs to start watching more football pal. EPL Midfielders would be more like Matta/Bale/carzola/Tore/david Silva etc You can mock me all you like but the players you named wouldn't touch that starting 11. |

I was at the Ballon D'or last night (It's a long story, needless to say it involved a length of rope, a roll of duct tape, a burlap sack and a set of lingerie...) and I am happy to confirm that this team is a sham - Ronaldo switched the envelopes out of spite after learning that he had missed out on the WPOTY to Messi again, before pissing in the punch and impregnating the first 2 rows in the auditorium. However, I am pleased to announce that I, Dansi, managed to procure the real 'Best XI' from Mourinhos dressing room afterwards (after clearing out the dead hookers and Didier Deschamps of course) and have included it below... GK: Bruce Grobbelaar, circa 1997. Defence: Ledley King, Phil Babb, Djimi Traore, Gary Pallisters' Mum Midfield: Posh Spice, Djemba, Djemba, Djemba Djemba Attack: Gordon Brown, Ronaldinhos dentist. I think you'll all agree, football is the real winner here. |

| Urgh, this is why I stopped playing FIFA, Ultimate Team is both the best and worst thing to happen to the game in the past 10 years. It's an excellent mode and great fun, truly engrossing but the way EA run the marketplace is abysmal, the packs are the least value for money offering on Xbox Live and the auction section is ruined by profiteers and the kind of shady Carlos Tevez/Kia Joorabchian dealings that the FA banned in the real world. |

@26 Joking aside, Fellaini doesn't play as a holding midfielder you fucking idiot. Of course Alonso is better in his preferred position over Fellaini playing out of his. When you say that Cockblock or whatever he is called should watch more football, I put to you that you never watch Alonso playing for RM. If you did, you would know that he, along with every other player on the team, has his contribution reduced to 'watch Ronaldo get the ball, wait for him to dribble in and shoot, rush in and hope that the rebound falls to you for a shot on target'. |
|

Forum Posts: 27 | Comment #34 by welsh dragon888 Tuesday, January 08, 2013 @ 07:00:53 AM
@33 and cock This is a 4-3-3 which obviously puts Alonso as a holding midfielder. Now Fellaini would have no chace in hell of starting before xavi or iniesta and as you stated Alonso is better than Fellaini as a holding midfielder which is why he is in the starting 11 and Fellaini isn't. It's that simple. |

@34 can your little pea sized brain comprehend any sort of dynamics what so ever? if fallani or rvp or Rooney or fucking Hesky was in the team the formation would change to suit the player. The team isent based around a 4 3 3 the 4 3 3 is based around the players. How do people like you remember to breath? |

Already had this out in the pub and on message boards. Blatant bias towards the Spanish League's philosophy on football from the casual fans at FIFA who display an alarming lack of footballing knowledge time and time again. Forget us (City), Chelsea (the European champions ffs), the re-awakening giant of German football, the goldmine of Argentina, or the technical brilliance of the Portuegese leagues, it always comes down to who's best in La Liga. |
|

Forum Posts: 0 | Comment #37 by Dansi Tuesday, January 08, 2013 @ 07:07:27 AM
@34 Yes, but it's a pie in the sky team that has been put together as the best of the best, so the formation means nothing in context. You're maintaining that Alonso is a better player than Fellaini, then using an example where you play Fellaini out of position as a way to prove your point. Why not stick Alonso in the hole and watch him get chewed up and spat back out by Stokes defence, whilst Fellaini shines with his strength and forces the ball into an advanced position for the strikers to gobble up the opportunity? |

| A starting 11 is simply a matter of opinion and all i was doing was expressing mine. I didn't throw any rediculous insults around or even begin this stupid arguement. I was expecting a lot of thumbs down as obviously football and this community is mainly made of English fans. All i was stating was that in my opinion the top english sides are a step behind the 2 spanish giants. When i saw the starting 11 i did think to myself 'the seems quite biast to the spanish league' but when you compare the players and stats you cant really argue with it. That cock guy just came in with his stupid 'your thick' comment and it all snow balled from there. |

@35 and @37 The 4-3-3 is the modern way of playing and in this formation with those players Fellaini isn't better than any of them in the position they have been put in. And if it were changed to a 4-4-2 or any other formation Fellaini still wouldn't even come close to the starting 11 in my opinion. Why would Fellaini be in the hole when xavi, iniesta, ronaldo, messi and falcao are on the pitch. Every great team needs a solid spine running the midfield and thats what Alonso is the best in the world at doing. |

@41 Please stop, read and think (if that is possible with that tiny brain of yours) Alonso would not be there for the goals you are completely miss understanding what he does for the team. If you have the front 5 of ronaldo, messi, falcao, inesta and xavi you do not need anymore goals. A football team has to be defencive as well as offensive and needs a player who can spread the ball and rule the midfield. Fellaini can't do that, Alonso can. Also who is comment 338? @66 Falcao is probably the most technically gifted striker in football at the minute, you obviously don't watch football. 'Every yeear the balon dor is messi ronaldo and iniesta boring Where are the hard working players like nolan lampard gerrard even giggs the player who are the engine room of the clubs bout time they gave us the vote forthe worlds best XI' Point proven. Messi, Ronaldo, and Iniesta are far and away the best footballers currently playing the game, hence the shortlisting for WPOTY. To even consider Nolan/Gerrard/Giggs/Lampard in the same league as them is fucking stupid, not least because 3 of those players are by far past it these days. |

So, to sum up: WelshDragon and Enlightened are the same person (neither personality knows a thing about football either, which is a shame), Fellaini is better than Alonso playing in the hole, and DTM hears hype on a player and makes a decision on them without even seeing them play, and Spearian wants Heskey in the mix. Great thread. |

I think people forget that a players honors in that season might have something to do with them being in TOTY, because before anyone has a stupid rant about Casillas being there, can't hardly knock him for leading Real Madrid and Spain to the La Liga title and the Euro's now can you? Plus, to whoever is whining and crying about Fellani not being there, yes, he has had a good season, and is one of the more dominant players this year, but he hasn't played anywhere near the caliber of the chosen players. And don't even get me started on Scholes Man. Utd 'Fans'. |

@40: Typical munich... I mentioned us because we won the league. That was how I represented the Premiership. If it was youz who'd won it, I would've dropped that in there as opposed to the Blues. If Chelsea had, they would've got a slightly longer sentence. Obviously RVP should've been in there, for his time at both Arsenal and the theatre of wet dreams, but I wasn't joining in the argument about individuals, I was pointing out how FIFA are bias towards the Spanish leagues. Now, don't you have to set a reminder on Sky for the Liverpool match on Sunday? |

@81 Typical Bitter. Unlike you (I expect) I'm from Manchester. You see, despite popular myth (that is admittedly spread by plastic City fans who know nothing of the clubs history) a much higher proportion of United fans hail from Manchester as opposed to City 'fans', as proven by multiple sources far and wide. However, if we were to suspend disbelief for a second there, would you care to explain the number of empty seats at the council house at every home game? I imagine since every single City fan lives around the corner from the ground it should hit full capacity and have crowds of people baying outside the games trying to get in during the game? Thought not. Nice advice there, I'd say the same to you, but I expect your mum won't pay for Sky for you. It's OK, you'll probably catch it on the radio mate. |

@90: Openshaw mate. Higher Openshaw to be more specific. Season ticket holder since 97/98, used to be a Platt Lane Boy and often saw Mike Summerbee as the bar there was named the Buzzer Bar. Only time I missed home games was when I worked at the City shop at the stadium for a while when it was called ReebokCity. Manchester's full of fake fans, both Blue and Red. The only thing is that the latter tend to be "fans" on derby day and whenever you win something only. With us, the majority are just moaning unrealistic cunts who, as you said, know fuck all about football. I used to argue with rows and rows of supposed supporters on the regular when we moved to the Etihad and all of a sudden everyone's meant to sit down and be quiet. As for the empty seats, that comes back to my previous point. Attendances at the stadium are counted electronically by the number of card scans at the turnstyles. So why all the empty seats when you see it on TV? Well, this goes back to the point mentioned in the previous paragraph. Since the move to the Etihad, gradually more and more supporters are leaving their seats to stand next to the away fans in the South Stand, because it seems to be the only place you can stand up, chant, and give it out. Packed as fuck, but it's all the better for it. And I don't live round the corner from it. It's round the corner AND down the road... (...) |

@101 Well, you certainly seem more grounded than most City fans (and than your initial 'Munich' comment, and the 'Theatre of Wet Dreams' suggested - embarrassing that to be honest, it makes you sound like you're about 12 and jumped on the bandwagon last year). However, dress it up as you like - it all just points to being bitter as you will forever be known as the second team in Manchester. http://therepublikofmancunia.com/attendances-manchester-united-vs-manchester-city-the-city-is-ours/ Good day, sir. |

@95, That's pretty much what I am trying to say, he may be better than our midfield, that's irrelevant, but I'm saying that people from other forums, etc are saying that he should be a contender, but as you pointed out, he is no way near WPOTY standards. And I wasn't solely picking on Utd fans, but I was using Scholes as an example, as I'm sure delusional scouse fans think we should have Suarez and Gerrard up there. |
|

Forum Posts: 0 | Comment #108 by Dansi Tuesday, January 08, 2013 @ 08:32:17 AM
@107 Then the people on other forums are wrong, biased, or taking the piss. Scholes was one of the top midfielders in the world on his day, and can still do a heck of a job for United in midfield, but on current form he isn't even playing the same game as Xavi or Iniesta. |

@84: Listen real closely to the "We Are the City Boys" chant in the game. The word munich is in there. @103: Yeah, peeps used to think I was some street-hardened motherfucker coz I'm from Openshaw, but it ain't a rough area, it's just shit and full of scrounging crack eds. It's been undergoing a redevelopment scheme over the last five years, but all they've really done is give some houses a sand blast and knocked down my former area (where they filmed East is East), only for em to do absolutely fuck all with it. @105: It's called banter. I call my mates munichs, they call me a blue nose cunt. And we ain't bitter, it's rivalry. If anything, it's youz who're bitter. I can talk united without mentioning City, yet when the shoe's on the other foot, you always have to bring it back to "what about us? You're shit. You're bitter cunts." Truth is, you lot are obsessed with us and always have been for some strange reason. Every single person I know who wears one of your shirts care more about us losing than you winning. Personally, unless it affects us, I couldn't give a shit about your results. You're the biggest club in the world ffs, everyone knows it. You have the greatest manager of all time and have even had some of the best players ever to touch a football. I dislike youz. No doubt. It's in the blood. But I don't hate united. I love City. Doesn't matter if you're winning the treble while we're fighting to reach the second tier of English football. As far as I'm concerned, it's all about the Blues and nothing else. P.S. We never had a permanently-attached anti-united banner. But obviously, we're bitter. |

| @109 What do United fans have to be bitter about? Far more successful, far better supported in their home city, far better ground, far better manager, and they don't lie and try to excuse the use of an insult referring to the loss of innocent lives as being part of a chant (The chant you refer to says 'Man U fan', not 'Munich fan' - only bitter plastic supporters sing it as Munich...) |

@109 bitter? You have spent 300 million a team that cant get passed the group stages of the champions league. united have spent 34 million a player that has scored more then he has played well watching pictures of your manager break down in tears over one player he cant control. Its hardly cause to be bitter. |

@115 Recordings? 5 minutes ago you practically had a bed in the stadium, now you're saying that in a recording of a chant it says something different? Idiot. It's also an away day song so I'm very familiar with it. It says 'Man U fans' As I said, plastics and bandwagoners tend to replace it with 'Munichs' to sound clever in front of the Citeh masses. |

Somehow. @117: Nobody says "If you are a man u fan". Nobody. Especially not away. "Plastics and bandwagoners" don't even know any songs other than Blue Moon and City til I Die. |

@119 we care about you losing as we are in direct competition for the title. 3 years ago when you had de Marcus Beasley up front i couldn't have give a rats cock if you won or lost. As for the fact that we laugh if you lose on the same day we lose, its probably quite funny as you spent 300 million. | @137: No and no. We MAY win the FA Cup, but we'll be battling Chelsea for 2nd place by early April. Either way, the Sheikh and Khaldoon know that things take time to build what they're wanting to build, so Mancini will stay. They were only hasty in sacking Hughes because he'd not won anything worthwhile as a manager, things were starting to look a little TOO stale, and Mancini was available. And because of Gary Cook, of course. |
