| Would have liked American Nightmare dlc first, but a new gen is coming so I guess this is expected. I hope it's more like AW than AN though, as in, more story driven and less combat/arcade-y. It'd be cool if MS was finally on board delivering it in actual episodes via DD too. That was such a missed opportunity with AW. Walking Dead did it (more or less) right. |

| I would love a true sequel to Alan Wake. American Nightmare was missing real Alan Wake vibe it was too action shootery for me, just hope it's not next-gen my ass can't afford a new box lol |

| @5. I disagree. I prefer to buy the whole game in one go, rather than spread out over months. I can't get into a game in small chunks - I need to pump in the hours. Plus it also seems a regression - for instance tv shows, a lot of people will record an entire series and watch it in a few sittings - to me that is the future, not having that annoying wait between episodes. It seems that they are now transferring that annoying wait to games which I don't want/understand |

Well, American Nightmare was, for all intents and purposes, an Alan Wake 2 of sorts, but sign me up if that's what's coming. I can't even imagine what happens after that ending. I like how Remedy keeps trying to act like the DLC and AWAN are just supplementary and you don't need them for if they make an AW2, but the stuff they add are extremely important and it wouldn't even make sense if they continue from American Nightmare and you didn't play that or the DLC. They're all connected and *all* important if you care about the story, so whatever. |

| @8 i do agree with you there, was really lookong forward to alan wake but was really dissappointed by it in the end, one of the most overrated games this gen. A sequel will probably be more of the same since it received such critical acclaim. |

| It more than likely is Alan Wake 2, as we know that's in development for the 720 and more than likely a launch title. Which would be great, I think the atmosphere in Alan Wake would benefit from a stronger system. |

I hope this is Alan Wake 2, I really want to continue on with the story, though wouldn't mind more difficulty (not more action) perhaps give it more of a horror element, make some more focus on melee combat rather then gun combat. Unlike some, I thought Alan wake 1 was a really good ride with a good ending, and dlc that jut built on it, as well as giving it a bigger real, giving you boss fights that the end game originally lacked. |

Too little, too late. I am switching to Playstation next gen. MS exclusives have been a huge letdown over the years. I'm tired of Forza, Halo, then rinse and repeat. Add in the odd crappy Fable game and you've got MS exclusive lineup in a nutshell. |

I agree, Alan Wake (the original) was phenomenal. However, American Nightmare felt like a cash-in more than anything. Lets hope it's a true sequel |

| Excited for the release; the first one was exceptional, and hopefully this will be bolstered with the new generation capabilities if it is released then. If it retains the combat fixation, it should include more options for versatility such as weapons, tools or at least a more vast array of methods for killing(flashlight/flare got a bit staid after a bit). |

@21 um....switching to a platform based on 1st party is a bad idea unless you're going to nintendo. (no, i'm not a nintendo fanboy, but i was raised on the lil grey bastards.) I ended up 360 this gen...not even sure how...was WAITING for the ps3 to get at least 5 games that yelled at me 'GET A PS3 ALREADY' and well...i'm still waiting on the first (6 years later) Twisted Metal was that one game...and i've forgotten about it cause it's on the ps3. anyway other than TM...does sony even HAVE any exclusive IP's left? resistance was garbage by the 3rd game i hear...and i'm not buying a ps3 based on the success of ONE 3 part series. (uncharted) plus from what my friends say about sony's online service...you're in for a real treat (read: "POOP") but to get to topic...i see American Nightmare as an add-on the put out as a stand alone game to see what sales in gets, since the sales for AW 1 took a while (i think MS was a lil washy on greenlighting a sequel when the original took about 9 - 10 months to hit a million sales. |

@21 also....so trade Halo for resistance and Forza for Gran Turismo and there's your switch...but it sounds like a down-trade to me. I seriously doubt even the Japanese are so loyal to sony these days. |

@8 Alan Wake's strength is more in the story then gameplay (which was still good despite some minor flaws here and there). On topic - I DO hope it is Alan Wake 2. American Nightmare was fun but lacked the same sort of dark prescence (word choice unintended) than made the original so great. |

Just please, just please and again please to bring Alan Wake 2. Alan Wake is one of coolest games I ever played in 2010. I hope Alan Wake 2 will have improvements over gameplay and better flashlight combats rather than using flashlight combat same over and over. Story is good as well characters is great. It got mix of Survival Horror and Action to be felts. :) Hopeful Alan Wake 2 bring more depth for Survival Horror. :) |

Sorry again for I made another comment. I remember when group of crows around lake with house there where Alan's gf missing and it made me felt quite scary and it did made me jump a bit when crows aim fly at you if you not look at them in sky instead of looking around for items. Also some darkness in woods so frights!!! Those scary memorable moments to me. :P |

Alan Wake was great. It suffered by doing that oh so irritating thing of havign harder difficulties locked untily ou finished a play. I say this because Alan Wake on normal was an okay game. Alan Wake on Nightmare was difficult enough that fighting all the time was a bad plan, and it made it a much scarier, much more suspenseful game. I have american Nightmare but haven't played it yet. It's on my gam,es to finish this year list along with most of my current 40+ game backlog. I really need to stop buying bargains as they have just piled up and up! |

@35 Y'see, I never really found it that scary. Which sucks, because I would have loved to get that feeling; you probably had a better experience than me, in that case. I did love Alan Wake 1, though. It would be nice if they could change up the enemies somewhat, for the next one - after the thousandth kill, the flash light niche became a bit tiring (IMO) :/ |

| I'd definitely buy Alan Wake II. The first was fantastic and I thought the DLC was pitched at just the right level. The change of tempo with AW:AN worked better than I was expecting too. Great storytelling with an original and well thought out setting. Not to mention great game mechanics and gameplay. |
