How successful are games on demand really.
They often reduce them but its still cheaper to buy a physical copy and the above ea deals are terrible you could pretty much go anywhere else and get it cheaper

I've managed to pick up some half decent GoD games the past few months for a pretty reasonable price but MS do really take the piss with the prices of them. If the future is digital downloads then I really hope they sort out the picing structure a hell of a lot better next time round.
For a start games that are maybe 3-4 years old, if they were priced somewhere between 5-10 quid i'd be happy to spend on them, whereas 15 quid i feel can be a but much for a digital copy when you can pick up a preowned copy for less. And yet a prewoned copy doesn't put money into MS's or any developers' bank accounts.

If they actually offered good prices for their games online then I wouldn't mind buying them but to buy a game at nearly full price when I can get it for 30-40 dollars brand new in stores is a rip off.
Example - the Game of Thrones game (the new one) costs 40 dollars through xbox. I bought the game, which also came with a bonus art book, for 15 dollars off amazon. |

| @41 you got an avatar item from Scratch & Match too? I won a couple weeks ago and got some lame venus flytrap prop. I figured it would be one of the listed games or something, since you only have a 1:1000 chance of winning once per day. Such a lame waste of time for the actual scratch off, but at least there are a few additional games/dlc on sale through it I guess. Mystery Wheel on the other hand I've never bothered with because I'm not going to blow MSP on a random chance of winning, especially if the prizes are as worthless as the S&M prize I got was. |
