@#4: Jen Taylor is in a ton of games. Pick any game in your library, and it more likely than not has her voicing somebody in some capacity.
As for the game, I'm going to wait and see. Gearbox will probably do a good job with this game; I just want to see how good. |

| seeing as how the ship from prometheus is not the ship on LV 426 then we can all stop the relations because they have nothing in common to each other. in the Alien universe their are hundreds of Pilot ships all over the universe. they spread the virus they created. The Predators spread the Alien/Xenomorph species to hunt them for sport. Ridley Scott has stated numerous times he doesn't give two shits for any other films after the one he directed (he did not write it so he owns no claims on the story!) and therefore Prometheus and Alien exist in his universe not Cameron's. Now I guess the writers of this game were told to create their own alternate universe here because they have completely changed the story of all the films, books and comics with what they've done. Now I have preordered the collector's edition and another for my son. I hope the co-op is great. |

You seem to be forgetting that it was stated Ridley Scott actually visited the guys at Gearbox with his original designs and storyboards for Alien, if he really didn't care about the sequels and wasn't intending in some way to have a few nods to the original and even Prometheus in this why would he bother?
And I know that the Derelict isn't the same ship as the Juggernaut in Prometheus, but that doesn't mean we can't be enlightened to what the original Space Jockey in Alien was up to.
Anyway, liking the look of his more and more, love the first shot of Bishop as well, wonder whether he'll be more obviously android in this one as opposed to the more sympathetic Bishop in Aliens. |

Oh, now I get it.
Like Prometheus, this game is only utilizing imagery from Alien/Aliens and the attempting to co-opt the feelings that that connection conjures in the viewer. Whether or not having this imagery makes any sense is beside the point.
At no point is Prometheus or this game interested in making something that logically holds true to the stories told in these beloved films. That would be hard and someone might have to work - which costs money.
What they are most interested in is whipping up that sense of wonder the viewer felt from the original films and carrying him/her to the point of opening their wallet and purchasing the product hoping to capture that feeling again.
Then, on the non-fanboy side of things, is anyone else concerned that the game is due to drop in roughly a month and very little actual gameplay has been shown? |

| I'm getting it. I convinced my boys to get it. I'm stoked, but underwhelmed by the trailers so far. I grew up watch Aliens a ton because it was one of the two R-rated flicks my mom let me watch... The other was Major League: Jesus. I like him very much, but he no help with curveball. |
