| @8 I don't think they will. more people will buy it at 600 then at 800. Its a shortsighted sales forecast which anyone like you can muster up. The fact is a lower price increases volume. For someone who used to buy brand new games at 800 im still bitter about the new price points being significantly higher. So a sale item at 800 is not a sale, its the price it should be. | ||

| I bought the DLC for Trials HD like 2 hours ago when it showed up on my xbox desktop. Xbox live is finally posting their sales on time. I always have to wait until morning to check out the "Deal of the Weeks" and "Sales and Specials." It's nice to see them post their deals earlier in the day. | ||

They wouldn't sell it for 800MSP if they knew they could make more selling it for 600MSP. sure. the same people that discount fallout 3 . gta and bioshock 2 deals 3 times a month? Its a fact that anything under 800 is considered a sale, this is based on the entry price points*(800 1200). More units would be sold at 600 then at 800. And i would put money on that significant difference outweigh the revenue at the current sales at 800 points. if you look at the sales figures for shadow complex as a good example. it generated significantly more sales at a lower price point and still made a higher profit due to volume when it was discounted less. Obviously time factor plays a part into the equation, but these days people are more patient. i can understand the issue if we are dealing with a physical product as you would have to offset costs in the manufacturing and distribution of the product. What we have here is pure greed. What will happen is we will see a sale next year when the game will be 600, thus capturing the target audience i just mentioned. Has nothing to do with higher revenue. Its a long term strategy. | ||

| Picked up the DLC for the first and also picked up Evolution and the DLC pack for that. Love the first even though it does frustrate the hell out of me! Was hoping for Evolution to be 600msp but it's still a steal. | ||

| I think EVERYTHING in the Xmas sale should be 50% off at the very least, after all it's only a deal for ONE day! The majority of ppl who are "waiting for this to become DotW" would buy it whether 33% or 50% and a ton of ppl will buy whatever is advertised as a deal (and looks/plays good), but hey it's Christmas, they should treat us! | ||

| @8 Pc vs Console is alot different, if pc games cost as much as console titles then congrats piracy would increase even more. Personally i would never pay for a pc title doesnt matter what game, but yet i got 310 games played on on my xbox profile. Companies are about making money and pretty much whatever deal you can get on steam i think TPB can top instantly. | ||

I know that piracy decreases revenue from games sales by only a very, very small percent, due to those who pirate games being the type of people that wouldn't buy it even if piracy weren't an option. | You pseudo-marketing numbskulls are hilarious if you think this game would sell more at 800 than 600. First of all, points are bought in 400 increments, so they are already getting my $10. I would just have 200pts left over, rather than 0. What they SHOULD have done is make EVO 600 and discounted the DLC to 33% or 67% off, leaving another number of points so I have to buy back in. I'd have leftover points to encourage me to buy into tomorrow's sale. All of this is moot, however, simply because I was going to buy the game at 600 and not going to get it at all. That is the bottom line. | ||

| For those of you complaining, or are unhappy, that Trials Evolution is only 33% off you need to realize Microsoft didn't have to discount it at all considering that it's still selling and had DLC release this week, it could have been much longer before it went on sale. It's sold over a million copies since its April 18th release 9 months ago. I'm surprised MS is discounting this soon. Plus, new content is released for this game everyday through Track Central and considering that some of the community make better tracks than the developers this is a STEAL at 800pts. | @23 Sorry to interject, but you DON'T get the full game. The only way of safely saying that is if you own the disc copy; you don't own anything you download digitally. If you get banned; you lose it all. If the company decides it wants it back, you lose it. And if Steam were to go bankrupt... that WOULD be something to think about. But there's a pretty fair chance you'd lose it all. Same is true for XBLA, which is why I try and get games on disc as far as possible. | ||

Why would the company suddenly decide they want one person's games back? They've never done that, and they never will. Steam has plans for if they go bankrupt to let you keep all your games. I got a pc and an xbox, and enjoy FPS and strategy more on my pc than my xbox....But as far as gaming is concerned, my xbox gets more attention as I can throw in my game and it'll play exactly as it is meant to. Take the example of a Russian gamer who did nout wrong, but got banned anyway. The only reason Valve unbanned him is because his case was picking up support on gaming sites. | ||
