DmC Son of Sparda Edition is GameStop Exclusive

Revealed as a Europe-only special edition for DmC, today sees the Son of Sparda edition available for pre-order, but as a GameStop exclusive. It's also available in Australia, exclusively at EB Games.

Bundling Ninja Theory's game with a replica of Dante’s necklace and an exclusive Samurai DLC pack, the Son of Sparda edition also includes free upgrade points to boost weapons or purchase combos and items from the beginning of the game. It also bundles the post-launch Vergil's Downfall DLC when you pre-order the game from GameStop or EB Games.

All interesting, but my one nitpick, which is more of a preference, is that the game doesn't come with a steel book case

For a second there I thought it came with that sword. Overall meh IMO, nothing too special here and I hate those early accesses and preorder exclusives. What happened to earning everything in game?

Yeah this doesn't really seem too worth it. All they're getting is a neat box to put the case in and a necklace. I'm getting Vergil's Downfall and the Samurai Pack just for pre-ordering the normal edition at Gamestop. I'm pretty sure everyone else who pre-ordered in the US is too.

@5 that's the whole point of this article is that it IS now available in the US, but only from GameStop. Was supposed to be UK only, but guess they changed their minds.

Looks good but thankfully if you want the necklace, you can get it by pre-ordering the game from Capcom's website, regardless of region. Downside is that it doesn't look like there's day of delivery.

So what does the US get then? Jack squat again? Our RE6 collector's edition was trash (though I bought it anyways) while the one in the UK was an ACTUAL collector's edition.
