Now he's done it. Hasbro will be down on him for copyright infringement. I never liked Jazz Jackrabbit. UT (original) was an eye opener though - I was always a Doom/Quake fanboi and after hundreds of hours in Quake 3, I gave UT a shot and was blown away and never looked back. Gears was hot, and to be blunt, Cliff (and everyone else) knows that Gears wouldn't have been as popular without its gimmick Lancer. Bulletstorm I couldn't handle though. All the dicktits and in-your-endo reminded me that I wasn't 13 anymore. The whole game mode felt wrong too - no emphasis on campaign, all on just repeating the same stage over and over until you had a better score. Reminded me of Pac Man and Space Invaders. So, you have 30-year old gameplay, with humour intended for 15 year olds. Gears will always be a winner for me with its co-operative campaign and survival modes. Give me more of this with your Autobot Datsun and I'll follow. |

Sorry for the triple post, but this fucking script in the comment box is cutting off my comment. How retarded is he to say that Dark Souls was "easy"?? The only thing that was "easy" about that game was knowing that you were going to receive an infinite amound of ass-whoopins from that game. Dark Souls was awesomely hard and Cliffy B. is still a douche!! |

I rented gears 3... put it in... 5 minutes later, took it out and sent it away... story made no sense, why were they on a boat? Why is this whole marcuses father thing happening now but never mentioned before? Idk it had been awhile since I played gears 2 but i dont remember any of that happening at all.... Gears and Gears 2 were both games i thought were ok, had my fair share of CHAINSAW GUN HOLY SHIT moments... but the series really wasnt that great... |

He didn't say it was easy. The article says he made references to dark souls and Legend of Zelda. That could mean that he said those games stood out for their difficulty. Dark Souls sells a lot more then it would it wasn't renowned for its difficulty. He's in the game business. You don't think he would know that? |

#22-24: Hey buddy. If you'd actually clicked the article that "games are too easy" linked too you'd read this: "There’s a reason why Demon Souls and Dark Souls have taken off lately. It’s because they really require you actually try." Funny how you assumed the worst. |

| Gears of War was amazing, the second one was garbage and 3 was alright, his legacy will be stained for messing up on GoW2. I didn't mind Bulletstorm but it felt too short and I liked Shadow Complex. He should be grateful for what he started but I guess its not enough for his greed. |

| I love how people like to jump on the hate Bleszinski bandwagon for no reason. People hate him because he is legitimately passionate about what he does, which is the number one reason he is one of my favorite game designers. People just iinterpret his intentions wrong. Did Epic ship Gears 2 broken? Yes, and he admitted it and spent a helluva lot more time fixing it than most companies would. EA/Activision would prbably just say people are just playing it wrong and move on to the next game. I wish more people were as excited about gaming and creating new things as he is, maybe there would be more original content out there. Most people would be content with creating something as iconic as the lancer has become and milking it till retirement, but he wants to give us more, and I welcome it all. |

| I honestly only like the dude, because of Unreal and Unreal Tournament. I grew up on those games and loved every minute of them hanging out in EU clans and such for many many years. Gears was OK, but in no way had as much impact on gaming in my life as Unreal did back in the day. Here is to hoping he can again come up with something great. Hint: Make it for PC only, video games and their shady procedures are dragging market down... |

Gears was fairly revolutionary when it came out. Really nothing else like it on consoles. Now it's a cash cow, similar to Assassin's Creed. They aren't bad franchises... but almost by default they can't be fresh and exciting after X iterations. Time for new IP. Good luck Cliffy B. |

"But a lot of these kids who have only been playing games for the last however many years, they think that’s the only thing I ever did." I don't think a lot of kids that play games today even know what goes on behind the scenes or who the developers are. When you look at how many people play video games I would say a pretty small amount of them actually know names and accomplishments of developers, they just know that when a game comes out they put it in their console and start killing shit. I hope he does well though and I'm looking forward to what he comes up with next. |

"Bleszinski also reiterated his belief that games are too easy, referencing The Legend of Zelda and Dark Souls." Also could the article maybe explain on that a little better, because it looks like it's saying he thinks The Legend of Zelda and Dark Souls are easy, and I really hope he didn't say that because that would be dead wrong. While more recent Zelda titles are pretty easy, The Legend of Zelda is actually pretty tough, especially the second quest. And we all know better in regards to Dark Souls. |

Wow, are all you naysayers jealous or something? Cliffy B. Is a great developer! Like many great developers of our time, He developed his first game when he was like 16 or something like that. He's been doing what he loves to do since then, and like another person said, he's one of the most passionate developers out there. He also made a bit of money in the process. There are only a few like him anymore, and i sure hope he keeps on creating games. I seriously dont understand why people hate on him so much. |
