Rockstar North may be busy working away at Grand Theft Auto V, but that doesn’t mean they’re putting all their eggs in one basket.

The studio is also ramping up production on a mystery project for next-gen consoles, according to a job listing for a Core Engine Programmer.

The position calls for "an experienced programmer to focus on core engine development.”

The job ad says the position "is an exciting opportunity to develop cutting-edge architectures and high performance systems for current and next-gen platforms."

It will require the successful candidate to implement all aspects of a game engine, from rendering and graphics to effects and lighting.

There’s more too. A role is also up for grabs at Rockstar San Diego for a Physics Programmer to create "cutting-edge physics and collision systems" and "work closely with game teams to integrate new technologies."

One of the requirements is for "prior experience driving and developing a physics engine.”
