More FIFA 13 Ultimate Team have recently surfaced this week, resulting in yet more permanent bans for a "small number' f players who had been manipulating the in-game economy. Previously, some players had been found to be exploiting the game via the FIFA 13 UT web app, and were issued with perma-bans.

This most recent breach means that EA temporarily took FIFA 13 Ultimate Team offline earlier this week, so that a "level playing field" could be restored to the game. Ultimate Team has since gone back online, with EA releasing a statement on the matter.

"Earlier this week, a very small number of users attempted to gain an unfair advantage by manipulating coins," EA explained on its forums. "To ensure a fair economy for all our users we decided to take FUT offline in order to restore a level playing field."

EA's statement continues: "We take issues like this very seriously. Permanent bans for FIFA 13 have been served to all users who attempted to gain an unfair advantage.

"We would like to thank you, the community, for your patience during the downtime. We'll continue to maintain the best experience for all fans of FIFA 13: Ultimate Team."

EA Sports also released a title update for FIFA 13 earlier in the week too, fixing several bugs including instances of freezing and invisible balls. Nice.
