I guess these are ok, except for Special Delivery and Bigfoot. In all the BTB games on Ragnarok, every time someone hops in the Mantis, everyone stays a mile away from them. Special Delivery is utter balls because you have to be so lucky. It's going to be like "If They Came to Hear Me Beg" from Reach.
I would've at least liked to see an achievement for completing future Spartan Ops episodes. |

The main two achievements I think I might have a problem with is Now they Fly and Special Delivery. I have to hope an enemy is waiting at the end for me to melee him. Assuming he is stupid enough to allow it.
And getting a kill with a Warthog while airborne... Yeah, that randomness and luck based achievement is what I've always hated about the Halo game's achievements. I've still never gotten the last 3 Defiant achievements on Reach. Since I have to hope to get that specific map and gamemode. And THEN actually try and do the achievement in that game.
I'm fine with achievements taking skill and effort... but c'mon. |

| Terrible achievements IMO. A lot of them are luck based and I hate those. One of the many reasons I am missing a lot of this type of cheevos. Oh well, I will enjoy new maps while maybe snagging one or two achievements along the way and hope for better turn around when next DLC hits=) |

For special delivery go camp near the enemys man cannon and wait for one to come by. Follow them through and assassinate them.:)

This is one of the worst achievement lists I have seen in a long time.
Everyone will be fighting over the Mantis and warthogs like never before, and these achievements really ask you to go out of your way. People (including myself) will be ruining online matches to get these achievements. The Mantis stomp is not a smart move. Man Cannoning into enemies, also not a smart move.
I also feel like they are weighted badly. |

| The problem with most of those achievements is that they are based on luck more than skill, so it matters more how lucky you are rather than how skillful. I may as well go and flip coins instead of trying to get any of the achievements |

Well, these suck.
I played halo for 7 years now online, 15.000 games completed and haven't done some of those achievements. Totally stupid.. I thought the DLC achievement couldn't get worse than those from Bungie, but here you go.. |

| I fucking hate multiplayer achievements. They just shouldn't exist. That and the ones that come with map packs tend to be stupid random bullshit that require more luck than skill. Granted, this isn't as AWFUL as Halo 3's achievements, but I'm still really disappointed that they didn't ditch map pack achievements in favor of something that actually fits with the point of achievements: adding a competitive element to SINGLE PLAYER. Multiplayer already has that, which makes multiplayer achievements not only redundant, but annoying to people that want to 100% the game without playing the multiplayer over and over hoping that they can manage to get a double kill from the grave. And they could have fixed that problem from the past two major installements by just giving achievements to spartan ops, but instead we get more of this bullshit. |

Note the difference between their use of "player" and "enemy." If we're lucky we can do all of them aside from ODST in Spartan Ops (or even campaign). Not holding my breath though.
And seriously, how do we go from Halo Anniversary's achievements and this game's original 1000 to...this bizarre list? I was expecting something from Spartan Ops Episodes 6-10 and at least one from Extraction mode. |

| Most of these don't seem too hard. The Man Cannon things I've done before playing SWAT on Adrift so hope they leave that playlist in. Only way of getting the airborne warthog thing will probably be to use the gauss warthog on exile. Not looking forward to the Mantis stomping though. |

| Are you serious?? these achievements look insanely easy! there is an achievement for each side of the party these require no luck at all. i mean, get a kill while flying on a man cannon + kill someone flying on a man cannon. if you are not doing one, you are doing the other, its actually stupidly easy!. if someone wanna do the David and Goliath achievement they will have to get near you and if that happens you can boost the Bigfoot Achievement. |

| Notice how ODST achievement says "Kill a PLAYER" while the other achievements say "Kill an ENEMY" which maybe means these achievements can be unlocked in Campaign,Spartan Ops,or custom games.I mean seriously wouldn't they just put PLAYER in all the achievements? Seems logical... |

I shall try to calm people down, by suggesting that things will not be as lucky/difficult as they seem. In Halo 3, every map pack had more goofy online multiplayer achievements, and it seemed more and more retarded.
However, they came up with a playlist, I think it was one where you could play online, while having as many guest accounts as you wanted. Perhaps ActionSack...? Anyways, the way we did it was I signed in three guest accounts on my system, my buddy did the same, and the other inferior friend signed in himself and his extra controller. So we had ten people, and since it was five on five, we had no variables to worry about. Got the shotgun spree, and all that other nonsense.
The point is, I'm pretty sure they're going to make a matchmaking playlist that accommodates guests, while still allowing these to be achieved. So quit being sissy bitches, and just find some people with extra controllers. Shit, I have six myself, due to having three 360s (two regular and one JAP).

| This list does look random, and there is a few that may require (cough) boosting (cough), but overall i hope their not exclusive to their map, or you pretty much have to get them before the next map pack. Also am a little disappointing about not seeing spartan ops achievements. |

| These look to be some fun and easy achievements to me, I don't see why people are bitching. It's multiplayer only achievements, why wouldn't they be in a similar fashion to this? At least they aren't get x kills with each weapon. |

OK, so for completionists these could be a ball ache. But I think it'll be fun trying to get them! If all else fails, you could always boost them by having 1 or two friends on the other team?

| They all suck. They clearly try to make the achievements fun, but its not fun because they are unrealistic. I'm quite a strong player and I probably won't get many of these achievements unless I completely alter my play-style, ironically negating from what I find fun. In my opinion and I'm sure many would agree, it should be a challenge and require skill. Rather than just luck. I'd like to see some spartan ops achievements in there, say "complete an episode of spartan ops on legendary without dying" or as a flashback "complete an episode of spartan ops on heroic or harder without firing a shot and without dying" or in terms of multiplayer "complete a specialization" or "reach rank 117" or "be mvp three games in a row", etc |

| Well, i am hoping we don't need to buy the DLC to get them achievements and it is best just to work for them in game then boost, because this might take some practice and hard work to earn them achievements, but on the bright side at less this come out tomorrow and soon the achievement hunting will come in for me (to tell all, i play for achievements and play for the fun of the game) |

| I like the achievements, yeah they may be difficult to get and requiring some luck (or that you play against some not so lucky players), but they're original and I can't fault 343 for that. At least it's not as bland and boring as the dlc related achievement for GOW3 (with exception to general Raam's campaign dlc). So long as they don't go the lazy route and wash/re-use old achievements, I'm ok with what they do. I'll be playing this game for long enough to hopefully get these achievements :D. |

Now They Fly? - Get a kill while airborne in a Warthog - 50 G
Size Is Everything - Kill 20 enemies with a detached Machine Gun Turret - 20 G
ODST - Kill a player while you're airborne from using a Man Cannon - 30 G
Bigfoot - Kill 20 enemies using the Mantis' stomp attack - 20 G
David and Goliath - Board an enemy Mantis - 20 G
Clay Pigeon - Shoot an enemy out of the air while they use the Man Cannon - 40 G
Special Delivery - Kill an enemy with a melee attack when landing from a Man Cannon - 30 G
Pump Yer Brakes - Score the killing blow on a Mantis - 40 G
