Dead Space 3 Pre-order Bonuses Detailed

GameStop and Amazon’s pre-order bonuses for Dead Space 3 have been detailed.

If you order EA’s upcoming survival action threquel from GameStop you’ll receive access to the EG-900 SMG. Amazon pre-orders, meanwhile, include the Tesla Enervator weapon.

EA says that pre-order bonuses may vary depending on your country. Which is helpful. Expect your local retailers to carry similar deals.

Here’s a description of the content in the publisher’s own words:

  • EG-900 SMG

This EarthGov-issued sub machinegun is built for urban warfare. It's compact but deadly, sporting an internal hyper-accelerator for maximum damage

  • Tesla Enervator

Sovereign Colonies scientists developed the "Enervator" from an overdriven focus coil to "humanely" eliminate dangerous specimens. The Enervator delivers a precision blast causing instantaneous electrocution and molecular destabilization in the target. In test subjects, death was instantaneous.

Dead Space 3 is out on February 5th, 2013 in North America and February 8th, 2013 in Europe.

Judging by the footage they've shown of DS3 so far, pre-ordering the game at all seems pretty risky :| Fingers crossed that amazing Dead Space formula remains intact.

For games like this it's always easy to get all the preorder bonuses if you have enough money available. Just preorder at all retailers, since you can return to all the brick and mortar stores and keep the copy you bought off amazon. Simple.

I think it's best preorder form Origin as we get two extra suits and guns. I also hope that there will be achievement for beating the game with plasma cutter only, I missed thta in 1st and I still think it's the best weapon around anyway=P

@2 yeah, I also thought it was a bad multiplayer......maybe just transform it to a co-op mode with no alien vs, just 4 friends trying to franticly do objectives.

Things like this aren't exactly incentive to preorder. It's just a weapon. It will be DLC one day anyway, the game is designed to use the others fine, and there's no benefit to using them over anything in game. Just to show off to friends (which is dumb).

Actual content or, specifically for me, physical objects are worth preordering something for.

I only preorder if a game comes with something relevant. Not skins and weapons.
