I'm still reserved at how this game will turn out, the co-op element is still an iffy edition to me, but that said, at least it's not forced like a certain other previous 'survival horror' franchise.
It'll be interesting to see the end result of this, it'll either continue along, or start to hobble the franchise. Which one? Time will tell :) |

co-op can really enhance the survival horror genre, just look at resident e.... Oh wait maybe not

@8 Oh snap... Co-Op, for me, ruined my experience of Resident Evil. Just fallen out of love with that franchise ever since Resi 5. But I have my hopes up that Dead Space can still be 'scary' even with another player joining you.
So I'm keeping the faith in the franchise for the time being! As long as there are no fucking MP achievements... *cough* ... |

i think that every game should have the coop option now, and i mean every game. i dont want to have to do it but id love to ran through so many of these worlds with a friend. if i can play it alone ill do that first. but then i should be able to bring a friend to explore.
im a little pissed there is no coop in Bioshock and im still hoping for some good news on Metro last light. itd better have some form of coop. |

| Honestly, I welcome co-op in Dead Space. But I do think that any game with co-op should have the option to go single player, then to co-op, then back to single player whenever they want. Basically how Borderlands handles it. |

#8 - Co-op wasn't the real problem with RE5 and RE6. RE0 and RE4 had elements of fake/AI co-op (RE4's was more, Ashley follows you around and does nothing for a few parts) and they were fine. The problem lies deeper than that. People can blame it on the co-op, but that would not have made them better if it was gone.
#7- Or more precisely, people who prefer playing single player games... as a single player game. |

| Isaac's new rigs look.... Fucking terrible. That aside. Given the recent expose of the co-op mode, and how the psychological aspects work. My faith in this game has been renewed. Really can't wait to get my hands on it. One of the few franchises still out there that makes sequels worth looking forward to. |

| I'll be getting this, because I love Dead Space, but these screens just look weird. Too much light, color, people. Dead Space is about darkness and isolation. The game will probably be a lot of fun, but it won't be a good Dead Space game. |

What the hell did they do to issac's suit? He's an engineer. and the look of his suit means a lot to the game. DS1 looked amazing, the suit in DS2 was pretty cool but this? I don't even know!
Every single thing I've seen from this game looks like a major step back imo.
For some reason I still sorta want to play it but I guess that just speaks to how awesome DS1 and 2 were. |

| You can play this as a single player game, so anyone complaining about not liking co-op in Dead Space has nothing to complain about really. It's your decision. I personally welcome the co-op, looking forward to playing through it with a friend. |

| What I like about the co-op is that sometimes one player will hear a noise but the other won't, that could create a lot of...interesting situations, ie. partners thinking the other is overreacting, etc. |

| I didn't like them adding multiplayer in 2 but at least I could ignore it, hopefully the co-op isn't too intrusive, I'd rather not deal with an idiot ai co-op partner all the time like RE5 if possible. |

| The developers announced that Dead Space 1 was originally designed with co-op in mind, so if you think the game will lack scares because of the introduction of another player in your game, you're wrong: there will only be larger scares. |

| to all of those saying the suit is horrible there are better ones. This is just one of many. I think it was the classic suit in DP2 that was just horrible but they didn't make you use it. As for the Co-op i am excited to see how it goes. You don't have to play it, you can just play alone so stop complaining it takes away nothing from the single player experience. |
