@2 Exactly the same thought process. Good job really, I didn't realise you paid up front; figured I could just cancel it if the Special edition took my fancy, but evidently not xD |

| My mistake at the bottom of the order it has a tiny pre-order box which you have to go to then you can pre-order it. |

I don't even know how to make that fancy looking currency sign (dumb 'Merican over here) so I shan't be pre-ordering. However... Look at those buildings in that picture! The sense of scale I'm seeing is astounding. |

Good deal, but I'd still rather get the game from a official only games retailer. I never buy games from supermarkets, simply because I don't trust them from past experiences. Still going to get mine from ShopTo. If any LE's are announced, the prices will be good and the game will be delivered early. |

@14 Tesco have always taken money at time of ordering whenever I've used them in the past, so beware. @7 There are no such 'rights' to sell games, as they're not a restricted sale product that requires a licence to sell them (such as alcohol and R18 movies), so they can't lose them... |

| Seems they've clocked onto this somewhat as the code gives £10 off when you spend 40 or more online. The games pre order price is now 39.99 however so you need to buy something else as well to get the saving |

| £30 is a good deal but I wouldn't risk it... I have used Tesco 3 times, and two of those they delivered late. MW3 got 'lost' in the post (while my brother's came late & he was getting it to a different address so no mail man fault), then with Black Ops (first one) the game only got delivered on the Friday. I was so annoyed and Tesco were very unapologetic in both instances. I'm simply not taking the risk for the biggest game of 2013. |

#7 is talking shite. With the Mrs being an employee of Tesco, I get a further 10% off, and with clubcard points and Quidco, it will cost about £22.50 :-) |

I'd already placed my order before seeing this story. I've always found Tesco very reliable on pre-orders - they're often the cheapest place and all of mine have been delivered early or on the day of release. Good examples being last year I pre-ordered Deus Ex and Gears 3 for £28 each from there and got Deus Ex the day before release and Gears 4 days before release. |

@36 - really? well assassin's creed 3 in the supermarkets were about the £38 mark, GAME had it down for £43. it's not our fault that the game shops try to shaft us when they could make their games the same as others but choose not to, GAME still have old games at inflated prices that you can get online for half the price. try not to hurt yourself getting down off the soapbox. |

| @37 moan gently when the fatcats touch your brownie. Shopto is a great site which is a game only retailer, yet you want to support the fatcats earning millions every year selling every single product going. Make sure you swallow their special juice when they finish with your mouth. |

@39: Delivery is free. @36 & 38: You're only trolling, so I don't know why I'm bothering to indulge you, but loyalty to any specific retailer is retarded. Every purchase I make is from a different place, recent examples: Halo 4 Limited Edition from GAME as I had a discount code to get it for £60, Hitman: Absolution from Very as it was £17, ACIII from Argos as it was £20, Dead Island GOTY from ASDA as it was £10, a heap of stuff from the current Steam sale and GTA V from Tesco of course. That's just recently, I could go on. If I'd bought all of those from Shopto I'd likely have spent more than double the amount. I'm not out to waste money. |

Personally, I don't know why everyone is raving about this shopto.net It's worth trying tesco, I've never tried ordering, but for £30 (ish)it's not bad, and as someone said, if something better does come along, just cancel the order. Tbh, I highly doubt that there will be any "decent" pre order bonuses. That's my two cents anyway. |
|

Forum Posts: 5571 | Comment #42 by Callum x360a Thursday, November 22, 2012 @ 06:09:35 PM | |
| @41 - People are raving about ShopTo because they are currently one of the leading websites for buying games. However, there are times when it's better to get a game elsewhere. I just prefer to use them for a lot of my purchases because 9 times out of 10, you'll get the game early (for example, I got Hitman: Absolution last Saturday, 3 days before release). |

| Guys if you're still after this as they dropped it to £39.99 add a 1.2m aerial cable (tesco's value) for £0.47 + GTA V and the code and it comes to £30.46 (just throw the cable in the bin) :P |

Ordered Black Ops II from Tesco, yet they managed to get the delivery address wrong and then sent me the wrong game as a replacement. Thanks. but no thanks. I'll go with a retailer that I can trust. Plus, Rockstar deserve my £40. |
