| So are Microsoft going to allow even silver members to use Netflix, LoveFilm, etc, as if not you might aswell pick yourself up a normal freeview/freesat box that has smart tv function built in, which mean's you don't have to pay a £30-£40 a year xbox live membership on top of you monthly membership to Netflix, LoveFilm, etc. If not I can't see this working as who is stupid enough to pay another membership for xbox live just to use Netflix, LoveFilm, etc which you pay for already when you can just buy a freeview/freesat box with smart tv function and negate the xbox live charge and only pay for you subscription to Netflix, LoveFilm, etc. |

| if the TV is the hologram/3D set they demoed ages ago then i'll happily buy one if its not too expensive. No glasses 3D which changes your view depending on your viewing angle, and can be viewed by multiple people all watching different shows at the same time without the need for headphones. |

| @10 What? Sureley you jest. Playstation Network atleast gives you something when you're subscribed. Other than that, most the games are multiplatform between 360 and ps3. The only real difference, next to the exclusives, is that PS3 is region free. Something that the 360 seriously lacks. |

| now we run the risk of getting hacked. more & more things that can get hacked into. this is a very bad idea. looks like ms wants everything to be linked together. now we need to have "proofs". this is getting ridiculous! all i want to do is play games. now its becoming more like a pc. very soon it will have pc proablems. i am seriously thinking of not renewing my xbl now. with ms forcing us to do "proofs". which puts security on us. we pay ms to take away headaches not cause them. intergrating & such is just a really bad idea. the consoles should be for gaming only! if i wanted more that that. than i'd buy the apropriate device. not cool ms |

| I dont really care what microsoft makes as long as there will always be Games where I can sit down and play with a controller. Im not a big fan of this kinect stuff. Gaming has always been more relaxing and enjoyable not a sweaty workout lol. I mean dont get me wrong they're fun to play every now and then but there should always be a controller with some buttons and a analog stick. |

| If they do it then they should pause for next generation consoles by 4 or 5 years time because they bring many new stuffs for Xbox 360. Seem like we not need next generation Xbox by 2014 so maybe have wait 4 to 5 years time. It's better to give new stuffs for Xbox 360 more time. That's look like sense into it. :) |

Also internet there since new Dashboard updated last month. So everything about Xbox 360 I loved it. So seem to me no need next Xbox again by 4 to 5 years. But if they release next Xbox as no problem I will preorder and upgrade everything in my profile onto next console. :) |

@7 I agree with you that this will be overloaded with adverts but take a look at tv in general we pay tv lisence in UK (dont know if thats the case in all countries) to get adverts shoved down our throats so this is nothing new. It was just a matter of time before advertising companies realised people were spending more time playing games than watchin tv so they pay Microsoft to show adverts on there console that way Microsoft wins advertisers win and we are the ones who get screwed over again. |

MS should just go back to the way when it was first released and make games. Because all of this downloading and streaming videos and music stuff Is just getting out of fucking hand and is not the reason why I bought an Xbox. I remember when all I need was games and Netflix and I was perfectly happy with my Xbox. |

| An unannounced 2013 release smacks of Sega and the Dreamcast fiasco. We all know how that went. Sega stopped making consoles and started making crappy Sonic games. When they're getting ready they will first reveal the console at least a year to a year and half out from launch. Coming out at E3 and sying this will be on shelves in 6 months won't work and also why would say Grand Theft Auto 5 come out this spring on the 360 when it could be a launch day title for the next Xbox and only be delayed by about half a year. |

@ 12 Don't give me the typical BS crap that PS3 fanboys give us about PSN+ The service is a scam as you don't even own the games. To me, there is no value in PSN+ whatsoever. They should have just fixed their broken network, improve download speeds, and many other things instead of masking the bare bones network with promises of so called "Free Games" which arn't even your's anyhow, you own them on layaway. I would never subscribe to PSN+ as XBL is the better value all around for me. I am a collector, I like to own physical copies of my games, not fill up my limited 320Gig HDD with nonsense games that I can't even choose. As far as what MS is doing with this. I think its a bad idea. Yeah, there should be 2 sku's. One for cheap bastards who can settle with no harddrive and a premium sku for us core gamers. |

there is no way in hell i am going to buy a new fucking T.V just to have a new gaming console. i just got a brand new 43 inch Samsung T.V not to long ago.. so if you can buy the "next gen console ONLY" without the T.V then i MAY get it depending on how much it is. but i knew it would be talked about by the end of 2012 which is Now. and i knew that it would be coming out this exact time next year. IF Nothing happens after 12-21-2012, or 3-28-2013 both of these dates are important for the whole world. and they both have have involvement with our Sun. its not "fake" or a "conspiracy" or a "mayan calander countdown to doomsday type thing" its a real phenoninom that happens within our galaxy every so many thousands of years. so we shall see. |

@32. I think you're somehwhat of kilter there. The BBC does not feature adverts that tell you what washing up liquid to buy, or what to feed your cat! The most they do is advertise upcoming programs, and let's face it, if they didn't do that, you'd never know what was on! You'd constantly stubble across programs mid-season whilst channel surfing, and then feel annoyed that BBC had publicised the fact that the show was on. There is a big difference between the adverts on the BBC and other channels. On topic! I really wish that Microsoft would make a console that just played games. An up to date version of the original x-box would suit me fine, as I don't use my console for anything else! |

| I think Xbox TV is a great option for those looking for a streaming device similar to Apple TV or the Roku. If they can keep the price competitive to those, I think the included Kinect gives it a step up. It would also help to support MKV streaming, which I don't think any streaming device supports currently. Microsoft is hopefully smart enough to not make people purchase some type of subscription ala Xbox Live Gold to use any applications. |

I just want Microsoft to quit acting like "Kinect" is the next big thing in video games. I have one, it's interesting... and it has its uses, but it's really more of a novelty. Even Nintendo's "new thing" is a controller that you hold in your hands! I think it's perfectly logical for a company to expand its horizons... just as long as the things they started with don't suffer or get thrown aside for the new ventures! |

Is it going to play games, though? Outside of Gears and Halo, I'm starting to wonder if Microsoft remembers what games are. This gen has been nuts, at first it was all about the 360 and the pile of exclusives, awesome games like the original Gears, Mass Effect, Dead Rising, Condemned, Crackdown, and so much more. Now the 3rd parties have gone mutliplatform to make more money, PS3 has all the exclusives, and Microsoft is too busy focusing on Kinect and non-game features to bring stuff to "core gamers" (for severe lack of a better term). @30: Well said man. PS+ is nothing but a scam. + gives free games just as much as Xbox Live Gold gives free online play. It's not free if you're paying a subscription for it and they cut you off if you stop paying. |
