I really wish MS would stop rolling out the same few games for discounts time and time again. With such a variety of titles on XBLA there are plenty that have never been discounted, or maybe only got put in an offer once, that would be welcome treats.

Out of those I've got Bastion and Castle Crashers, and I'm not interested in anything else.
Gonna get Wreckateer, can't complain at free stuff, and it didn't look half bad when it was announced, just the fact its a Kinect game put me off. |

| I'll take a free game. 6/10 difficulty and 15 hours completion time seems like a pretty easy 400 GS. If the DLC is free too, I'll download them and keep them for some rainy day in the future when I'm bored. |

this is crap. all the discounted games should have a 600msp price point before the sale since they all have been out for at least a year. M$ is a joke. Look at PS+. Gaming is free and you get great games like Infamous 2 and a whole bunch more RETAIL games for free along side the arcade games.
Live is ok but the bang for your buck is PS+ by far. Im not a fanboy just stating facts. |

@15 You really haven't a clue how marketing actually works do you? Let me just start by saying while it was still dismal Wreckateer actually garnered 6629 in the first week on the market place, a far cry from the 300 you claim.
Secondly the reason it is set for free is because they realize with a new DLC released that is going to be advertised all of the market most of the people that bought and enjoyed the game originally are going to pick it up. Then you can add all the other DLC sales from those people that just got the game for free and are either riding that high or generally like the game.
The DLC is going to garner more sales from the game being given away for free then if they would have discounted it down to 400 points. |

HEY! If Microsoft didn't discount the same games all the time I would have never bought Bastion, but knowing it's on sale every 4 months I held off and now it's mine + devs get some money as opposed to none.
Plus they put Puzzle Quest on sale in the first time in forever yesterday and I got both of them too. Oh, you wanted them to discount the games YOU wanted as if they were psychic, didn't you? Well they aren't so tough shit. |

| @35 they could have looked into doing something simialr to what Valve do on Steam - they release a list of games and ask the public what they'd like to see released on Steam next. MS could easily have done this online seeing as they're fond of their monthly surveys. It's just another case of us gamers getting a bad deal from MS. I hope this isn't all there's gona be to the 10 year anniversary deals and maybe in the next couple of weeks there'll be better surprises. Sony do offer far better deals on PS+ and if this is gona be the same story on the nexgen consoles then i can see a lot of people will move over to Sony. |

@35 I don't think people want them to put the games on that they want, they just want them to offer different games instead of the same old stuff they always put on sale. Its like they have a list of 20 titles that they constantly rinse and repeat. I like seeing new stuff in the sales even if I have no intention of buying it.

You're kidding right? How many people are going to buy castle crashwrs and 1943. Do you know how old those games are and how many times they went in sale. The only HALF decent one up there is bastion but that went on sale lots of times. It isnt about them selling us game Qe want, but the general community wants. And trust me, Microsoft has a good idea what that is.
When I see a deal there that I personally don't like but know it is a good deal and a NEW one, then props to Microsoft.

It would be a really bad idea to support microsoft next generation. They have grown disgustingly complacent.
Less then a quarter of 360 console owners own a kinect, its regarded as a bad joke amongst sane minded core gamers. Gifting a game 3/4 of the 360 user base can not play is a sleazy troll face move.
I only hope those complaining wont support this crap next gen, I know I wont be! |

You are out of your mind. PSN+ is nothing more than a scam service with little to no value to me.
1. You don't choose the games.
2. You don't own they games.. you own them on LAYAWAY...Once your PSN+ subscription is up you can kiss your games goodbye.
3. I'm a collector who prefers physical media with a case and an instruction manual.. Not filling up my HDD with the oversized game installs that only the PS3 provides.
Sony hasn't learned a goddamn thing this generation. If they had any sense in their head, the would improve the service to the level of XBL and begin charging for it nextgen to make up for their horrible financial situation. But what do they do? They give away a bunch of games instead, and cover it all up with Cloud Saving and automatic downloads to delude the masses when they should be fixing their bare bones network from the ground up.
To me, XBL offers me far more value in quality content. |

I downloaded Wreckateer for free but didn't play it until a couple of days ago, been pretty disappointed with the Kinect recognition so far. I take it all back. Wreckateer offers spot on recognition and is fun as well, and addicting...sure its an angry birds rip off, but its a damn good one.
