Displeased with what you’ve seen of Splinter Cell: Blacklist so far? Things it’s all a bit action-packed and noisy? Then this might be the video for you.

Ubisoft is kicking off a new series of short trailers, with each focusing on a stealth ability available for use in the upcoming game. This week it’s the turn Closer Than Ever, which debuted in SC: Chaos Theory.

See it in action below. Splinter Cell: Blacklist is out in March, 2013.

I'm sure I'm the few, but this game won't be the same without the "voice" of Sam, as in Michael Ironside. He did a tremendous job and will be missed.

I'm not sure why the ditched Ironside (what a name btw). They could've used an actor for all the motion capture parts and then just dubbed Ironsides voice over the top. Like halo 4 did in it's cutscenes.

So this IS a Splinter Cell game, Im pleased they refer to the classic games fans during the id commentary, it shows theyve been listening to the people who feel the games heading way too far down the action road. Bit of a u turn in marketing, hopefully its not indicative of a game that is now being quickly changed at the last minute to appease the moaners.

If at least half of the game is in the dark, Ill buy it, but any less than that Im out. Also Im praying that one of these vids will show Sam picking up a body and moving it, thats my favourite bit

Although I am a huge Ironside fan, I'm quite looking forward to seeing what Thomas Jane can do. He was awesome in the Punisher Movie (The good one not that Punisher Warzone crap).

It sucks that Ironside isn't going to be in this one, but that's not going to stop me from enjoying the game, and I've been a Splinter Cell fan since I got my Xbox for Christmas 10 years ago and Splinter Cell along with it

@#1 Totally agree, I don't even mind the direction Splinter Cell is going lately. Every genre changes over time, but the fact that the main icon of the franchise changed (he even looks younger in these vids, or is it just me?) is the worst mistake a dev can do. Why don't you just retire Sam or kill him and give his daughter a spotlight or something? Way to ruin immersion...

I'm really gonna miss Ironside, and the games won't be the same without him, but I'm still looking forward to this. It looks like the perfect blend of Conviction and Chaos Theory!
