More Dead Space 3 Screenshots Delve Into Carver's Dementia

Some more Dead Space 3 screenshots have emerged on AGB today, following our latest hands-on preview. The images are taken from the very demo we played at EA's Showcase, illustrating some of the bizarre things Isaac Clarke's co-op buddy John Carver sees when he departs into his own fractured psyche.

Carver's haunted by eerie toy soldiers that represent his dead wife and son who were butchered by Necromorphs, as shown in the screenshots, while Isaac battles the hideously mutated abominations that now include the quick and deadly Twitcher Necromorph, also pictured.

There's a total of eight fresh screenshots to view in the gallery that demonstrate how nicely Dead Space 3 is shaping up ahead of its release on February 5th, 2013 in North America and February 8th, 2013 in Europe. Pretty hyped for this. I wonder if they will finish Isaac's story arch and make it a trilogy. Death animations are the bes tin this game. I always find myself dying just to see what will happen=)

@7 You don't have to play co-op unless they have an achievement for it and you want to get that achievement.

It's also worth noting that judging from the gameplay they showed, the co-op is not like, say, Resident Evil's - if you play solo, Isaac is alone. Carver still exists, he's just not with Isaac all the time like he would be in co-op. Which is why they got rid of the multiplayer all together, since they had to focus on essentially doing two different games/stories for the two modes.

@12, ah, now there is a true horror movie :) they don't make them like that any more.

I'm still iffy on this game after the 'de-horroring' thing :/ that was such a stupid comment to take on board in any way in a survival horror game. I'll wait and see how this turns out, as well as see the new movie, they made 2 others, so there will likely be a 3rd. :3

Can you play SOLO as Carver? Is he co-op only I mean. I love isaacs story, but it would be nice to see a new solo story. The dlc for 2 was great, but short.
