Fuse Video Offers Up 18 Minutes of Gameplay and Dev Insight

Insomniac has released a beefy new gameplay video for its first multiformat title, the 4-player co-op actioner, Fuse. The 18-minute video offers some in-depth insight from the developer, as you're taken through the four different characters and their unique fuse-powered weapons that they receive during the opening moments of the game.

There's the tank class Dalton with his magshield, Jacob and his badass arcshot crossbow, Izzy the stealth operative with the crystallising shattergun and Naya with her warp rifle that creates singularities. All of these abilities can be combined to devastating effect, as you'll see in the video.

We'll be able to go into even more detail about Fuse for our hands-on preview this week, but for now, you can get a closer look at Insomniac's intriguing co-op shooter in the video below. Fuse is out in March 2013.

	Red head called Dizzy? This isn't Starship Troopers! I'm skeptical, i can't see this being very good. I mean it could be but the indoor setting will get old, and i just don't think it will sell. The characters look like typical idiots, nothing special about them, a big guy with massive biceps is the tanks and prefers brute force, i mean really? How many times has this been done? I'm open minded but i can't see it being any good.

	Can't a dev make a hardcore game that doesn't involve guns? Every game I can think of (that's a hardcore title), has you shooting guns. I want something 'NEW'. Guns are getting played out for me...

	How the fuck does something like this happen? Seriouslly, I don't get it. "Our game has a rapid firing crossbow that launches people across rooms and nails them to walls. It's got one gun that freezes enemies, and another that opens fucking black holes. It's got a shield that absorbs bullets and then shoots them back. You know what it's missing? A realistic setting. We need to mute all the colors until it's one solid shade of brown, like every other modern military shooter. In fact, let's make the opening of the video indistinguishable from the box art of BF3. That's what people are craving: more realistic, drab, modern military shooter." I want to punch someone at Insomniac in the head. Oh well. I guess instead of actually buying this game I can just watch the video of Overstrike and think about what could have been.

	@9 Also, the redhead looks like Lilith =D. Also, yeah the cartoony, goofy one looked so much more fun. Stop trying to make crazy awesome weapons realistic, dammit EA!

	All the negativity about this, i swear if it was another MW or BF game everybody was hyped and not even mentioned that there are already far to many shooter games. Insomniac aways did a good show with the Resistance games for the PS3. I def understand gamers toughts and yes i,m sad too they dropped Overstrike and changed it into Fuse, but why we not wait untill the final product is out and then we can start to either praise it into heaven or hell ;)
