Need for Speed: Most Wanted (2012)

We Talk Need For Speed: Most Wanted with Criterion’s Leanne Loombe & Enlist in the Porsche Driving School

It's been around 4 years since I've been to Leipzig - the former home of Gamescom. The first thing that struck me when I set foot in its cobbled streets was quite simply, "I can see why Gamescom went to Cologne now!" To put it's nicely, it's the retirement village of Europe, you know, the Florida of Germany. I felt young. Very, very young. What's quite odd is that Porsche decided to use the city as its second home, setting up its second main production plant there. Anyway! The reason I talk about Leipzig and Porsche because we went there recently with the sole intention of playing Criterion's Need For Speed: Most Wanted. That, and taking some Porsches out on the track.

While out there, when they could drag us out from behind the wheel of the many Porsches we were driving that is - whether it was the Carrera 911 4S, the new Boxster, a Carrera 911 S or a Cayenne - we caught up with Criterion's Leanne Loombe, a Producer on the title, to talk about the ins and outs of the game. What makes a Most Wanted game a Most Wanted game? Can we put our wangs up as our Origin picture so that our friends are smashing through billboards with our junk up there? Okay, so we didn't ask that outright... we did hint at it in the question though. We ask those and much more!

So, if you want to see what the Porsche driving school looks like - fresh with bonnet cam - how much we can get out of a Porsche, what happens when we go off-road in a Cayenne and what Criterion has to say about their upcoming racer, then you'd be a fool to miss this one! Stay tuned till the end for a bit of a treat as well.

Need For Speed: Most Wanted is out October 30th and November 2nd in North America and Europe respectively.

@2 People want customization. Customizing your cars in NFS Underground 1/2/ Most wanted was great and is a feature most people want back in NFS. This game is most likely going to be great still but would it hurt it add the ability to customize.

I think that a certain level of customization should be expected now a days, Especially when it comes to certain games like Racing Ect..We want the Option to customize are cars in game the way we want & most of all to be different

It sucks that there is not Customization the way we wish would of been in there or Expected but the Game seems to have alot to offer & i don't think that a Customization issue is going to stop me from enjoying the game

@9 I could do, but I can only really concentrate on one racer at a time, so one would be sitting on the shelf gathering dust. I'm gonna pick both up at some point, just not so close together.

NFS Hot Pursuit was so awesome. I wish this game was more like that and less like Burnout Paradise.

@7 and 8, I own Horizon and can honestly say its immense, they've taken the concept of Test Drive Unlimited and made it perfect. it has the great free roam of TDU but with the real car mechanics of Forza which I have never seen done better by any other racing game...I've had the pleasure of driving a few of the Forza cars in real life specifically the Skylines (as I own one) and they do feel very close to the real thing unlike in NFS
