This Week and Next Week on Xbox Live

Your Xbox Live update is here once again, and over the next couple of weeks there's more than a few treats coming your way, with Serious Sam 3: BFE and Zombie Driver HD heading up a one-two of monster mash mayhem on the Xbox Live Arcade from tomorrow, while the following week sees Guilty Gear XX punching its way onto the Marketplace.

Also, be sure to keep an eye out for Borderlands 2's Captain Scarlett and Her Pirate's Booty DLC, which brings 8-10 hours of treasure hunting and sandy anarchy as you head to Oasis in search of Captain Blade's lost treasure. Read our preview here for more.

There's also new World of Keflings DLC coming this week too, while next week sees Forza Horizon speeding in with its Season Pass and Launch Day Car Pack. There's also a dose of Max Payne 3 multiplayer DLC to look out for. Meanwhile, there's some Batman deals to check out, followed by Bioshock content.

Looks like the discounts are jacked up right now. I see Batman in the DOTW window, click-in and it's last weeks rummage sale.

I'm just guessing that the update rolling out may be part of the issue.

I just want Metro 2033 to go on sale already.

If anyone doesn't have the BioShock DLC yet, you should be shot. It's been available so many times it's ridiculous.

But, it'll be interesting to see what those sales include. I've purchased so many arcade games the last couple weeks. Goodness...

@16 Batman AC - GOTY has been out for awhile now.

Why put MIB on demand? I'm a fan of the Series but that game was unplayable. Bet it's going to be charged $60 for it also like at the stores e___e not worth it.

Danmagpie the "Deals of the Week" tab should be on a tile in the upper right after you select browse games under the main windows selection. That is select games, then select browse games.

Of course the the tile is generally slower to update over the Sales app for the deal of the week. However the app doesn't contain the special publisher sales and the window deals tile does.

Fozki Razormaid the THQ sale hasn't been posted yet. They usually put it under the Sales and Specials tab. That tab can be found by going to the games window, select browse games, then look at the upper right.

Personally I think the Sales and Special should have a much larger window. Instead it is regulated to the size of their annoying advertisements.

DLC for older games like bioshock should be permanently reduced. Digital distribution keeps the cost high despite it getting. When all games come as download, you will see old games and dlc same price as day 1 unless MS/sony and publishers decide to throw some old dlc out half price for a week. Its like being offered some old pizza half off (or something)

don't know about anyone else, but the sales and specials tab went awol on my xbox a week after the app was released, which is amusing as the app only includes DOTW and it's own self contained deals, never anything like the publisher specials or anything


i need to sell some body parts or something, i got no money to buy points for serious sam

As #43 said in Canada we see nothing of the Sales and Specials app or some features of Live Rewards. They almost never update the sales tile (mine STILL reads Babel Rising and I've been in the beta. They also seem to have completely removed the recently reduced section of the marketplace as well. Why aren't any of these sales live?

Nothing interesting here, I can't count how many times Bioshock was on sale either. Old deals are just that, old. Come MS, Christmas is around the corner, you better step up your game or I will be giving all of my money to Steam again=P

Part of the app called "Sales and Special +", basically a scratchcard minigame where you can win various weekly prizes (games, gamerpics, avatar props, etc); and when your done scratching (losing, most of the time) you get 3 bonus offers for content.

There doesn't appear to be anything worthwhile in the THQ sales for me apart from Nexuiz which I already bought last time.

I'm just really gutted that I missed out on Double Fine's deals; only just remembered last night around 10pm and they were still showing up on the 360 and the site but wouldn't let me buy them because they updated the deals early...something I wasn't too happy about.

I think that it would be cheaper to buy the special edition of batman instead of purchasing all the DLC, even at 50% off.
