want want want want!!!!!!!Tuesday, October 16, 2012 @ 06:49 AM
Castle Karstaag is actually the castle on Solstheim in wich the giant lived, right next to Mortrag glacier where you fight Hircine. Many of the Dunmer from Vvardenfell fled to Solstheim after The Red Year so it would make sense for the remainder of the Telvanni to make a comeback there, although the Argonians wiped most of the members out. Can't wait! :DTuesday, October 16, 2012 @ 07:13 AM
Wish I was as interested in ES as you to know what all that meant # 11. That said, does this mean we're seeing the highlights of Morrowind, with that supposed to be the biggest ES game in the history of the series. And could it point to the possibility of a graphical overhaul but leaving the systems intact? Eh probably not, but I can dream unless it's one of the original titles that work. In which case, I'll make that dream true myself another day. Have yet to play Skyrim but I get these as they come out. Should be good.Tuesday, October 16, 2012 @ 07:29 AM
Can't fcukin waitTuesday, October 16, 2012 @ 07:30 AM
#11 You are correct.Tuesday, October 16, 2012 @ 07:39 AM
I never played elder scrolls III before. what was so special about morrowind?Tuesday, October 16, 2012 @ 07:46 AM
Morrowind was without doubt the game I sunk the most time into just jumping to get my acrobatics skill higher. I love that game and still him the theme to my kids when I rock them. Can't freakin wait. Morrowind!Tuesday, October 16, 2012 @ 07:56 AM
nice stuff!...one of the best franchise!!Tuesday, October 16, 2012 @ 08:18 AM
Yes! Love Morrowind, I have fond memories of sitting and watching my brother play that years ago.Tuesday, October 16, 2012 @ 08:21 AM
The excited noise I just made did not sound human.Tuesday, October 16, 2012 @ 08:22 AM
Look forward to itTuesday, October 16, 2012 @ 08:32 AM
Wrong. Remember when everyone was all like... " Hearthfire? OMG Zombies". All this dlc does is let you invest stock in local and foreign trade. There is a chance, however, that if the Dragonborns stock portfolio drops that he will instantly and automatically seek out a cliff and jump off, killing himself.Tuesday, October 16, 2012 @ 08:43 AM
Morrowind was the sh*t. Dragon riding gives you a hard on.Tuesday, October 16, 2012 @ 08:55 AM
this sounds way better then skyrim farm sim. this dlc is instabuy :DTuesday, October 16, 2012 @ 09:25 AM
Now this would be a DLC I would buy day 1. Can't say the same for Hearthfire.Tuesday, October 16, 2012 @ 09:41 AM
I loved chitin armorTuesday, October 16, 2012 @ 09:47 AM
Morrowind huh? wait...........NO THE CLIFFRACERS NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!Tuesday, October 16, 2012 @ 09:53 AM
news made my day!Tuesday, October 16, 2012 @ 09:53 AM
@1 How can you not be bothered about riding a dragon?!Tuesday, October 16, 2012 @ 09:57 AM
Oh God, yes. I would kill to set foot on my old stomping grounds again. I'd give anything to pay a visit to Balmora, although it's probably an ashy wasteland. Why did Bethesda have to go and destroy Morrowind?Tuesday, October 16, 2012 @ 10:01 AM
@26 i hear there aint any cliffracers any more lolTuesday, October 16, 2012 @ 10:16 AM
@ 29, Bethesda destroyed Morrowind? I'll take that HD remake please lol. I've been wanting to revisit Morrowind for awhile now.Tuesday, October 16, 2012 @ 10:45 AM
I just sold this after the let down of Dawnguard and whatever that house add on was. Hope this blows so i don't have to buy it again.Tuesday, October 16, 2012 @ 11:10 AM
@32 So you bought the dlc and then sold the game? Don't you think that you're a little commited to it at that point? You know, after sinking like 25 bucks into it? Anyways, i hope it's fun so i can go back on skyrim and enjoy it again, and also so I can laugh knowing you're going to have to buy it once again.Tuesday, October 16, 2012 @ 11:13 AM
Morrowind? Then take my money away for this DLC!!Tuesday, October 16, 2012 @ 11:18 AM
oh it feels so good.Tuesday, October 16, 2012 @ 11:20 AM
Some of you keep knocking Hearthfire, but I bought both it and Dawnguard the day they launched...and I spent hours doing Hearthfire stuff, and have yet to even start Dawnguard's questline.... Anyways, more dlc for this amazing game is always welcome, especially if they keep using the ideas from the jam session they held. Brilliant idea and execution so far.Tuesday, October 16, 2012 @ 11:27 AM
Just one step closer to claiming a house in Red Mountain as my house. All is going according to plan.Tuesday, October 16, 2012 @ 11:45 AM
When is this dropping? After dawngard I have taken another break from skyrim. Need to get back in thereTuesday, October 16, 2012 @ 11:56 AM
@ 38, seeing how quickly Hearthfire came out after its files were discovered, I'd say this will drop either last week of October or mid-November.Tuesday, October 16, 2012 @ 11:57 AM
Holy shit yes.Tuesday, October 16, 2012 @ 12:00 PM
#36 I won't spoil anything for you but all I can say is accept the free gift of power, you will be pleasedTuesday, October 16, 2012 @ 12:13 PM
okay, if its really going to morrowind then ill better finish skyrim. id preorder this dlc!Tuesday, October 16, 2012 @ 12:31 PM

@43, no....? All is says in regards of PC is that PC gamers are the ones who found out about this DLC's coding. As all other DLC's, it'll come first to Xbox.Tuesday, October 16, 2012 @ 01:06 PM
Sorry im a bit behind but will the PS3 not get any DLC for this game?Tuesday, October 16, 2012 @ 01:34 PM
Doubt that this will be Morrowind, probably just Solstheim. This, and more, was all leaked on UESP the same week as a lot of the Dawnguard details came out. Also Castle Kaarstag was an area in game where the eponymous giant actually was. It also hosted "the missing pauldron"...if you played Morrowind and expansions as much as me you will know the significance of that.Tuesday, October 16, 2012 @ 04:18 PM
I was pretty happy with Dawnguard, so if this looks as substantial I will defo pick it up. Will help me on my quest of finding high level dragon too, though I wish they patched that one already LOLTuesday, October 16, 2012 @ 05:34 PM
@50 (myself) I tell a lie, there is a Castle Karstaag in game but you do not meet the lord of the castle until the final stretch of the Bloodmoon storyline-I had to load it up on my Original Xbox and explore Solstheim a bit again after reading this.Wednesday, October 17, 2012 @ 11:37 AM
I just cameWednesday, October 17, 2012 @ 03:08 PM
@#48 Im hoping soWednesday, October 17, 2012 @ 03:16 PM
Awesome!!!Wednesday, October 17, 2012 @ 05:13 PM
If these PC slueths are on to something this is good news!Wednesday, October 17, 2012 @ 08:59 PM
@ 54, in case you check back to this article...I just saw a video that explained the DLC being exclusive for Xbox for the usual, 30 days, before being available on PC.Wednesday, October 17, 2012 @ 11:25 PM
Morrowind came out in 2002 so this may be a something special to celebrate its 10th anniversary. It would be cool to explore a destroyed Morrowind since Red Mountain exploded.Litarally Elder Scrolls meets Fallout. OT:Morrowind will always hold a special place in my heart. My first experience in the ES series and still my favorite.Saturday, October 20, 2012 @ 05:15 AM
Morrowind? yes, yes, and yes. Played it for like 3 summers straight. Like 58 said, I will always have fond memories of that game. When GOTY released on xbox i nearly creamed my pants.Saturday, October 20, 2012 @ 01:44 PM
yes yes yes got both of the dlc and loved them the more the merrier for me love skyrim it rocksSaturday, October 20, 2012 @ 02:37 PM
@#57 sweet thanks bro that makes me happy. I just assume it would stupid to deprive xbox players of dlc, its easy money for them and good times for us.Saturday, October 20, 2012 @ 11:56 PM
Any of you who sold your game you're nuts.Monday, October 22, 2012 @ 08:41 AM
[POSSIBLE SPOILERS!!!] @26, The cliffracers were all killed off by the Dark Elf Jiub, the guy from the Prison Ship at the beginning of Morrowind. The cliffracers were the main cause for the Blight spreading from Red Mountain as they could just fly over the Ghostgate. Jiub became Saint Jiub for the deed and is mentioned in Oblivion (He lived in Kvatch during the Oblivion Crisis). There is a quest in the Dawnguard DLC for Skyrim involving him too.Tuesday, October 23, 2012 @ 12:10 AM
Riding a dragon whilst wearing Chitin armor!! YES!Tuesday, October 23, 2012 @ 08:53 PM
The dragon riding would indeed be amazing, but im still itching for a real DLC quest wise. DawnGuard was fun for what it was but wasn't as massive as Past DLCs(Shivering Isles anyone)Either way im looking forward to a new skyrim DLC, its been too long since my gaming nights have been completely dedicated to this game :(Wednesday, October 24, 2012 @ 05:50 AM
I liked morrowind I have the GOTY but there were a few things I hated about it the graphics could've been better and the fighting system sucked until you got your skill up since trying to kill a mudcrab took forever I would love a 10th anniversary remake with the new graphics and fighting system I think they should make that happenWednesday, October 24, 2012 @ 12:13 PM
Sh-wing!Friday, October 26, 2012 @ 01:37 PM
I hope they don their win hat and go with the Morrowind idea.Monday, October 29, 2012 @ 10:41 AM

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim’s next add-on will allow you to ride dragons and maybe even return to Morrowind, say the latest reports.
Inquisitive PC players have been rooting around in the game’s code following the most recent update and found some telling files, named “DLC2” and “Dragonborn.”
Also contained within the code are dragon riding animations. Apparently you’ll be able to jump on the back of a dragon a ride the scaly bastard around, casting magic as you go!
This geek’s brain just exploded.
There’s more too. Wrapped up in the game’s code is evidence to suggest that Dragonborn will add new locations too, with quest markers found for Solstheim, Telvanni, Castle Karstaag, Raven Rock and Miraak Temple.
Solstheim and Raven Rock are locations to the east of Skyrim and share the same frosty environments. Telvanni, meanwhile, is the name of one of the six great houses of Morrowind, the setting for The Elder Scrolls III.
Castle Karstaag is a little more mysterious. Karstaag is the name of a giant monster creature that appeared in The Elder Scrolls III expansion, Bloodmoon. But Karstaag Castle? Thats a first for the series.
In addition to all this there’s also entries for Bonemold, Chitin, Nordic and Stalhrim armour varieties.
Be excited.
