I don't mind turn based games on console. It's like this dev said, the problem is with RTS games. I tried Halo Wars and it just sucks without a mouse and keyboard. It feels a lot more slow paced than it should be. Disappointing that it wasn't for PC.
And for anyone who hasn't played it, try the demo of Commanders Attack for XBLA. It's another cartoony Turn based strategy game, but no one plays online on it anymore. The campaign is still pretty fun though. |

There is a demo on Steam for PC right now but Cert issues are holding up a console demo until closer to release. The Demo isnt perfect bit glitchy and its the first 2 tutor mission how to move take cover etc( 2nd half of mission 2 its gloves off prove you listened ) but still pretty good runs on my PC pretty well and my PC is 3 years old and dying.
Im a major UFO:EU fan ;) im old enough to play the original when it came out fun times..
TBS games are great sadly people dont give them a chance hopeing Xcom proves the hates wrong.
If you get a chance watch the OXM squad Vids on Youtube pretty funny and shows alot of stff about the game off.
@2 Good Call on that i enjoyed the demo for that never brought it, hoping the MP on Xcom kick off nicely i will be needing people to play it with lol and most likely beat me.. |

@5 PC wise its pre-purchase is doing well not sure on the numbers but Fraxis said if enough people buy on steam they will give those people a copy of Civ5 for free, Black mail works ;)
but apart from that the "Xcom:EU" community from the original game should think most of them will be getting it also the majority of sales will be PC i think, hopefully enough sell console side so if they do another Xcom TBS game ( UFO:terror from the Deep!? ) it will also hit next gen consoles and PC's but for now thats wishful thinking. |

| I've played alot of games this year already and still have some up-and-comers preordered but this is the one I am looking forward to the most. The original is a classic and still fun to play today. By the looks of things this one appears to be shaping up nicely. |

Commanders is pretty awesome. To this day one of my favorite XBL games.
I was back and forth on this game but watching the latest 10 minute video sold me on it. It looks like it will be a blast to play. |

| @13 I respect you for giving a genre you dont like a chance. Im old enough to of played the first Xcom on release,,20yrs ago. its not a forgiving game it doesnt hold your hand past the first few missions and lets you make mistakes but stick with it learn the ropes accept youll fail a few times and itll be 1 hell of a ride! |
