Big mistake with the games coming out around then... I'll wait 'till the price drops then around XmasThursday, September 20, 2012 @ 06:58 AM
They should use the extra time to redesign the hideous cover art.Thursday, September 20, 2012 @ 07:05 AM
Maybe it's taking that long to unfuck the box art.Thursday, September 20, 2012 @ 07:05 AM
The reason is pretty obvious... Nintendo. They want that Wii U version to feel less dated.Thursday, September 20, 2012 @ 07:16 AM
@5: That and it brings it nearer to the release of TDKR on DVD/Bluray.Thursday, September 20, 2012 @ 07:18 AM
I may be the only one in the world, but I just could not get into AC. It felt too spread out and too thin, with a lot of gadgets to get used to. Bummed since I loved AA, but I may give it another chance.Thursday, September 20, 2012 @ 07:49 AM
I don't want to nitpick, but in what world is under four months almost six months ago?Thursday, September 20, 2012 @ 07:58 AM
thats it, try and compete with halo and cod because thats always a good ideaThursday, September 20, 2012 @ 08:00 AM
What's wrong with the "10 out of 10" box cover?Thursday, September 20, 2012 @ 08:18 AM
I'll probably STILL be working on clearing all the Challenge rooms by that time, and I got it at launch :PThursday, September 20, 2012 @ 09:09 AM
this sucks for you guys.....This GOTY was the best $30 I ever spent.Thursday, September 20, 2012 @ 09:40 AM
@10, It looks like a magazine advertisement made by some guy in marketing who doesn't give a shit about his or her job. I have read, though, that it's a reversible cover with a less hideous image on the inside.Thursday, September 20, 2012 @ 09:46 AM
That's okay, I'm in no hurry either. In fact, I think I'll just wait till the GOTY edition gets a price cut, which will eventually happen. Yeah. @3 That would be nice, it was indeed hideous.Thursday, September 20, 2012 @ 09:51 AM
What the fuck? Explain this shit Rocksteady. You're a UK company, why are we getting the shaft on it?Thursday, September 20, 2012 @ 10:53 AM
can someone tell me how many months difference that makes it between the U.S release date and the U.K one cause it seems like 4-6 months which is ridiculous I want the goty so i dont have to buy the dlc separately.Thursday, September 20, 2012 @ 11:01 AM
huh... well its already release on Steam for the PC (I live in the UK) so I have no idea why they decided to delay the boxed versions of the gameThursday, September 20, 2012 @ 11:01 AM
"Why isn't the GOTY coming?" "Hopefully... Because they're busy."Thursday, September 20, 2012 @ 11:37 AM
whats so hard about adding all the dlc to a diskThursday, September 20, 2012 @ 11:46 AM
i believe this is just a delay to find a good market space for people to have money.Thursday, September 20, 2012 @ 12:39 PM
Well it's not like you can't get all of that content separately and probably for a lower price. Hardly newsworthy IMO...Thursday, September 20, 2012 @ 02:02 PM
Made in the UK and we wait longer for less content, rocksteady you just made my shit list good job.Thursday, September 20, 2012 @ 03:25 PM
@21 its alot cheaper to buy GOTY than a new copy and buy dlc seperate this news has annoyed me but oh well other stuff to do before thisFriday, September 21, 2012 @ 03:51 AM
@14 Ditto. Glad I pirated the Batman Year One film too now since we won't be getting that.

Despite the North American release of the Batman: Arkham City Game of the Year Edition going off without a hitch almost six months ago on May 29th, the UK launch date of the GOTY Edition of the sublime Arkham City has missed its scheduled September 7th release and has been delayed until November.
Bundled with all of the game's DLC including the Harley Quinn's Revenge story add-on, the Batman: Arkham City Game of the Year Edition released in North America with the Batman: Year One animated movie as an added bonus. An extra treat that the UK and EU release won't have. And now it's delayed too, for no apparent reason.
"Apologies for the confusion and the delay, we understand it is disappointing," Rocksteady's European Community Manager Sarah Wellock wrote on the game's forums. "Each of the territories determined the best time to release Batman: Arkham City Game of the Year Edition and for the UK, November is best."
Batman: Arkham City Game of the Year Edition will now release in November 2nd, amid the busy pre-Christmas period. Strange... "A lot of the time we have to consider our relationships with retailers and what works well for them," Wellock added. "It's not just about release schedules."
