| Sorry PES i was seduced by Fifa last year, having real stadiums, names and other little extras mean PES is now 2nd choice. i never thought it possible. |

| PES is like Liverpool FC, once the king, & unbeatable, but now slowly declining & fading away. But I hope they will both return to there old glory, being the best at what they do! |

| I seriously doubt that this is "competing" with any game other than FIFA. That said, it's still shit. |

How the mighty have fallen. I was a massive fan of the franchise right from the halcyon days of ISS. It was always the better choice over FIFA back then, and right up to Pro Evo 5 really, but they have really slipped behind in the last 10 years or so. ISS 98 is still one of my favorite football games of all time - it didn't need all the bells and whistles that FIFA had like licensed teams and stadiums, or exceptional graphics, it was just a pure football game and was amazing to play with a friend. Plus, who didn't love putting together a sweeping attack only for 'Van Nistlerooj' to get on the end of it and bury it, and go and celebrate with a black (honestly) Paul Scholes in the corner of an empty stadium? Master League with a friend playing on the same team as you on hard difficulty is also one of the best MP experiences I've ever had - countless all-nighters pulled and days of school missed in the early 00s because of that! |

| Personally pes has and never will compete with FIFA as FIFA is vastly superior. |

@10 Maybe recently, but I'd say that fans and critics alike vastly preferred PES over FIFA at the very least circa 1998-2005. FIFA has really taken over recently though granted. |

| lol a weeks head start won't save this game. I bet Fifa's sales will beat Pes in it's first day alone! |

| @11 I'd agree. PES3 was one of the best football games I've ever played, but then I played Fifa 2005 (One of the best Fifa's in my opinion) Ever since that Fifa has overtook PES. |

I always thought that it was strange that PES was always released after FIFA. With releasing a week before it'll get some more sales for sure, but I'm sure FIFA will once again be the better game. I've played both the original and the "improved" PES demo and I can't really tell any difference - if anything I preferred the first one. |

I dont think this will ever compete with fifa especially with FUT i reckon fifas pre order sales alone will batter the whole first week of pes"s release!! |

It's like watching an actor you hate, even if they pull out the best performance ever you still won't admit it's good and still won't like it. It's whats happening with PES sadly. This one is very good, love PES but I also love FIFA. Problem is, FIFA is way to easy and scripted. It's a game for the better players and people who actually understand football. You see, a certain player say, Lampard cannot do a great curling shot on PES (because he can't in real life) so when I shoot with him, I hit it at an angle so he laces it and boom! Unlike FIFA where any player can pretty much do anything. FIFA12 was a great game don't get me wrong, but it was so bent at times. The AI would 360 my player with Tranmere Rovers and then smash it into the top corner ... slightly unrealistic, or a player would out strength mine despite being stronger and better. The finesse (RT) is so baised too, was way to good. Just hold that and shoot and it was bare near impossible to miss, this means that terrible players could beat good players and not by skill. Had many flaws. PES is a better experience than FIFA has EVER offered. Just because it doesn't have loads of licences doesn't mean the gameplay isn't better, the graphics on FIFA are terrible also compared to PES and I don't know why. All in all, PES is better. But FIFA will get more sales every time because fan boys refuse to give it a proper go and moan about the licensing. That game reminds me of COD & it's a shame, because PES is better. |

I prefer real names, real teams, real stadiums and more than just the top leagues in Europe. FIFA for me all the way. |

If this game drops massively in price when FIFA comes out I'll get it on the cheap Because we all know it will and it's always good to see what the competitor is like. Never played a pes game, never needed to with all official stuff haha |

| I don't follow Soccer, but I thought PES 2013 was fun. I had no idea they didn't have real names or stadiums. I don't follow the sport. Guess I'll have to give Fifa 13 a try. |
