My most anticipated game at the moment by far 10:39 has the Xbox 360 and Xbox Live Logo so it's basically confirmed for Xbox |

| I now get annoyed that a game this stunning would be on current gen consoles, may as well say the video was fake because it will never look that good |

"One thing I want to make clear is that Ground Zeroes is something I’m making myself. I want to make it clear that Snake is outlet that he's taking a hands-on role in the development of the game." Wait, so Snake is making the game? Huh? Maybe I'm too tired to figure out what this is supposed to mean right now or maybe it just makes no sense. Eh not important. Just tell me when I can buy this game. |

| Battlefield 3 syndrome.Show it off on a "comparable" pc and water down the graphics when you get slapped with the real hardware limitations. Its alright though, because everyone will buy it and be too stupid to realize they arent playing the same game......a la battlefield 3 style! |

| @12 have you seen MGS4 on the ps3? this isn't that big of a jump from that, and that was 5 yrs ago. also, could be mistaken but I don't ever remember a MGS game on pc, ever. |

| @11 the ps3 mite be more powerful but there's one reason why I'll be getting it on the 360 instead, ACHIEVEMENTS. Not crappy trophies |

@21 Achievements to me are WAY too messy, at least with Trophies you have a nice way of seeing how many Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum you have and a level alongside it, achievements are just a big mess of a number now =| Also, when this comes out on 360 it will probably have the most discs a 360 game has ever had......ever. |

@11 I'm with you, I have both, but this should have stayed on the PS3. @21 You've obviously never played MGS: It's an actual story-driven-gameplay-on-the-side type of game, and it's LOOOOOOOOONG. You don't play it for achievements. EVER. |

| How can be a human such a badass genius? Kojima never disappointed me, i love this man so much. I respect and honour his work. This guy is too good to be just a human...he might be blessed from god. I absolutely love every Metal Gear Game, and this looks absolutly amazing. We shall be pleased again by the all-mighty Kojima. God bless you for your very hard work. |

@19 - I hope so. Metal Gear Online is phenomenal. It's a good job Peace Walker came to consoles because that would of left a lot of Metal Gear fans confused, questioning who Paz and Chico are. Spoilers - I knew Paz survived, one of the biggest shocks I've had in gaming was when she revealed she was actually against us. I couldn't take it seriously though, damn me for making her wear a bikini throughout =P SO EXCITED :D |

Small recap compliments of Joystiq - As far as we're able to tell, Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes takes place after the events of Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker in 1974, mostly likely immediately after. The military base shown in the trailer, Camp Omega, is an American "black site" located on the southern tip of Cuba -- "A slice of American pie on Communist soil, and out of U.S. legal jurisdiction." The small boy being held in the cage is Chico, a child soldier of the Sandinista National Liberation Front and eventual member of Big Boss' private military company Militaires Sans Frontières, who supplied intelligence during the events of Peace Walker. After the initial dialogue between Chico and The Disfigured Man -- our working name for the mysterious figure in the trailer -- the radio chatter we hear is a conversation between Naked Snake/Big Boss and another unknown member of Militaires Sans Frontières. |

| In short, this is a sequel to Peace Walker. But it might not answer everything, which could mean there might be a sequel. If it does answer everything however, the next game in the line would be Metal Gear. Please know that Metal Gear and Metal Gear Solid are different games. |

| I am pretty sure that burned looking man is Zero. I am not sure 100% who he is in terms of his role but he made an appearance as an old man that looks similar at the end of MGS4 and it would explain the name Ground Zeros. Or it could be a very badly burned revolver ocelot (the hat pretty much makes me think that too). |

@35 - I love it :D It's like Kojima has made the perfect game for stealth fans, I thought it would lean more to the action side but it doesn't at all. I am so excited! Time to play through every Metal Gear and Metal Gear Solid game again =P I can't wait to make Calling to the Night play as my helicopter comes down to lift me up, ITS SO COOL :DDDD |

| We hopefully all aware that this trailer not uses the Fox Engine but is just a CGI generated trailer, as is mostly used in intro,s and cutscenes in most games ;) Just saying otherwise i,m realy happy to see another MGS and in an open world setting its even better. The Fox Engine sure delivers i,m sure of it, i,m still not sure if this going to be released on current gen consoles or already for next gen. Either way i def will be buying it :) |

|

Forum Posts: 122 | Comment #44 by Akatsuki Sensor Tuesday, September 04, 2012 @ 01:24:55 AM | |
| @43 - That wouldn't make any sense though, not if MGS5 is based around Solid Snake. The next game in the timeline would be Metal Gear, the original Metal Gear. Kojima said he wanted Solid Snake to die at the end of MGS4 but he isn't finished with the character yet, that means MGS5 is set after 4. This isn't a prequel to MGS5. MGS5 might be the next Metal Gear Solid game after this (ignoring Rising) but that isn't what prequel means. |
