Next Week's Rock Band Tracks Take You To The (Linkin) Park

Next week sees electronica, rock and hip-hop uniting once again as a four-track pack of Linkin Park tunes makes its way to Rock Band, with a song from four separate albums spread across the last decade. That's from 2003-2009, folks! Oh, and there's one from the latest album too.

Starting with 2003's "Breaking the Habit", the final single from the band's highly successful second album, 'Meteora', the pack then brings the chart-topping third single "Shadow of the Day" from the 2007 album 'Minutes to Midnight'. That then leads into the band's track from Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, 2009's "New Divide".

Finally, there's a track from Linkin park's latest album, 'Living Things', in the shape of "Burn It Down". That's four tracks, all from the Linkin Park fellas. Check 'em out:

Linkin Park Pack 02 - 560 Microsoft Points (160 Microsoft Points each. X = 80 Microsoft Points per track for a Pro Guitar/Pro Bass upgrade O= support for keyboards)

  • Linkin Park – “Breaking the Habit” O
  • Linkin Park – “Shadow of the Day” O
  • Linkin Park – “New Divide” O X
  • Linkin Park – “Burn It Down” O

(All tracks are original master recordings)

Look out for them on the Xbox Live Marketplace from September 4th.

Shadow of the Day was ruined by radio, but still some good tracks there.

Wow, i'm very suprised Rockband has gone on this long. Every week they just keep adding to their ever impressive collection of songs. If I owned this game I like trains by Tomska, Discord by the Living Tombstone, and Still Alive would be the top played on my list! Keep on keeping on Rockband!

@2 Wait I like trains is a RockBand DLC or did I miss something? Burn is down is my favourite song from that pack a pretty good choice in my opinion also.

@3: Yeah, they added it a little while ago. And then a week later they released Discord, (which was amazing because I love the Living Tombstone and MLP.) I almost bought Rockband because of it, but... Borderlands 2.

@3 and @5: or at least I thought so. It never said an artist name. Maybe it isn't by tomska. Idk, lol, I don'k own Rockband so I can't listen to it.

...? why'd I get a thumbsdown for comment 5? I'm not saying I dislike Rockband. I actually play it with my friends quite a bit. All I stated was I was thinking about getting it but I bought borderlands instead. I never stated it was a bad game. I just have very limited funds lately. Infact, I would rather get Rockband over guitar hero because of the song library alone...

Finally, something good, and they all support the keyboard!

Their new album synchs up quite well with Mass Effect 3.

@9:
Yes it does, love Lost in the Echo, was hoping it would be in the next RB DLC, but I'll take what they gave us.

Don't understand the hate LP gets sometimes...

@10 There are the old LP fans that hate how new LP sounds and then there is also the people who never liked LP in the first place because they are "whiny and emo"

Oh my god, I can not wait. Linkin Park fan from day 1. Them 4 songs are going to be sick. Would love to see given up and lost in the echo. Hopefully they put them in pack 3 whenever that will be. We need more linkin park songs.

I liked Linkin Park back in high school. I don't care for their new stuff and I don't like their old stuff as much as I used to. Oh, well. Rock Band still knows how to keep it fresh, at least. I'm super excited for Blitz, I just don't know if I wanna throw down $15 for it. That's not a bad asking price at all, but I'm cheap and know it'll be Deal of the Week at some point or another lol
