Hell's Highway Developer Diary

Hell's Highway Developer Diary
Written Friday, June 27, 2008 by Dan Webb

Join the Gearbox team as they discuss some of the back drop to the upcoming Brothers in Arms title. The developer diary focuses on the event in history that the game is based upon as well as how they managed to create a dramatic but accurate representation of the period they were recreating.

The game definitely needs a lot more polish overall. I see a lot of low res textures and a bunch of clipping on the guys shoulder at 3:09. The beginning levels look fantastic but they degrade over the course of the game I hate when developers focus their time on one level to show it off to the media and hype the game up and the rest looks terrible. Hope it doesn't come out that why because the game has a lot of potential.

Thank you for the History Lesson. Oh yeah if you were listening, you would have understood that the developers are using the Market Garden setting to tell a more character driven story.

Brothers in Arms is by far the best WW2 shooter out there and I have no problem if they do it again.

I agree Brother in Arms is easily the best WW2 shooter out there. Operation Market Garden was a failure but it doesnt mean you will fail. If you know history...

This game was supposed to be released quite a while ago. I hope the delay helps it out. It looked very good at E3 two years ago. *fingers crossed* that it'll be good.

Downloadable content - achievements or no achievements - will you buy it with or without them?
If the content is good, or for a game I love, I'll buy it regardless of whether chievos are included
I'll still buy and play the downloadable content, but achievements would be nice.
Who the hell cares!?
No achievements, no sale ... and that goes for any game ... whether you're GTA or Halo!
Just stop with the DLC achievements full stop ... you're ruining my completion percentage dammit!
