Darksiders II Vids Talk Crucible Mode and Loot

Here’s a couple of trailers for Darksiders II, Vigil’s upcoming, scythe-wielding sequel.

The first is all about Crucible, which is Darksiders II’s arena battle mode. Featuring 100 stages in total, the mode offers you the choice of either cashing out after every five waves, or pushing through further, harder waves for bigger rewards. The risk being, of course, that if you die you end up with nothing. Erk.

The second focuses on the game’s deep loot and gear system. A massively expanded feature in the sequel, you’ve have scythes and swords and hammers coming out of your ears before long. Watch this vid to get a head start on how to deal with it all.

Darksiders II is out on August 14th in North America and August 21st in Europe.

	Also if you like DS2 on Facebook they're giving away a free Axe code for use in game when its released. I've already got mine for the UK release next week!

	@2 its also very very overpowered for a starter weapon lol makes the beginning of the game even easier compared to low level weapons you would normally find.

	Yes, Darksiders II is finally here!!!Cant Wait!!! I'll never get why some games are released simaltaneously world wide and some differ up to about a week.

	@Lee you keep saying you get nothing if you lose in the crucible mode but that's not true. You earn XP either way.

	@7 if you listen to the first video around 56-59 seconds he says you don't earn any experience in the crucible.

	Just an FYI the Crucible is essentially an online pass. If you buy the game new you get it free, if not you'll have to pay $10 to unlock the Crucible Pass.
