| Not ripping on the multiplayer when I say this, but THANK GOD for some DLC that isn't MP add-ons or fixing what shouldn't have been broken. |

Just my two cents: But if I'm buying a DLC which changes a games ending, then it probably should have been included in the main game to begin with. If you want to make DLC, that's fine... But I already paid 60 bucks for the original game that I purchased, so I shouldn't have to pay more just to change the ending. In my opinion a games ending shouldn't be changed whatsoever after it's been released. This all goes to show that ME3 wasn't ready to be released, and we all paid for an unfinished product. Thanks EA. I'm glad I sold this 3 days after I beat it. |

| Don't know if I'll be getting the DLC, I liked Mass Effect 3 but wasn't overwhelmed by it, but the Omega DLC sounds interesting. And it surprises me it's taken this long to get the singleplayer stuff started. You'd think it'd be their priority. |

"The upcoming add-on will reveal more information on the Leviathon, the creators of the Reapers. Extra dialogue options will allow Shepard to question the Star Child AI about the Leviathans' fate, as hinted at in the Extended Cut's existing dialogue. The extra lines were extracted from the Extended Cut by members of the official BioWare forum, who then posted on Pastebin. If the new add-on is installed, Star Child AI will say, "They are the creators. They are the ones who requested the solution. They became the first to be harvested." "We required their harvesting to create the first Reaper. To enforce and enact on the solution I created." In addition to this, those rummaging through the game’s code also discovered hints about the content of further story-based DLC, called Omega. If authentic, the add-on will likely see Shepard taking back Mass Effect 2 location Omega from Cerberus. The mission was snipped from an early version of Mass Effect 3. Apparently, dialogue options exist in Mass Effect 3 to instigate the mission but are currently inactive, presumably until the new add-on is released and downloaded. It’s a storyline that has already been set up in the Mass Effect 3: Invasion series of graphic novels. More as and when it hits." About fucking time for some more SP DLC |

| Although I do agree with #3, the way I see it, is that if you get another peice to the story that adds on and can change some of the information in the ending, wouldn't that inturn change the ending? But I am glad they are putting time in on these DLC and not rushing it. |

@1 Screw the MP, I don't care how much free stuff they've given us, the weapon packs are complete garbage and random and the same play got stale FAST. It took way too long to give us single player DLC. I agree with #5, single player DLC should have taken priority, but I'm sure Bioware puked their MP on us so people would stop bitching about it. It was free, great, it still didn't make up for the coma I was in for a couple of months. @3 I'm not sure if it's going to change the ending, so far it just sounds like there will be additional dialogue. I'm sure there is still going to be a red, blue or green choice. However, if it does change the ending, then I'm bang on with you! OT: I'll play the DLC but again the story is finished, I'm not sure if this will really add value. |

Going back to Omega would be pretty cool, but I don't like the fact that it seems like it was ripped from the game early on. I really don't know if I blame EA or Bioware for that but its not cool. Although I don't intend to pick this up myself, any kind of extra clarity or deepening of lore is very much appreciated. |

| The Omega mission wasn't snipped from Mass Effect 3, it was always meant to be DLC. The Mass Effect 2 comic was a prequel to the Lair of the Shadowbroker and the Mass Effect 3 comic is a prequel to the Omega DLC. Don't try and tell me they did the exact same thing but not on purpose. |

| ... Umm great... News posted on something everyone has know for months. Sarcasm aside, I am really glad they are starting to release single player DLC. Despite what everyone else says I really did and still enjoy mass effect 3. There is a lot of hate aimed at it, but it is still a great game. I believe sometimes we as gamers don't realize how much work is truly put into a game. It can take years to develop a game and it takes thousands of dollars. I don't see why everyone has such a negative tone to this game. Instead of focusing on the destination, focus on the journey. |

@Wilshire Don't you mean what WASN'T broken? The ending was just fine the way it was. I swear, people demand everything be spelled out for them. They don't understand the last episode of Lost, they get confused by Prometheus, and then they have trouble with (if you chose the synergy ending) the idea that Joker and Eve are restarting intelligent life in the universe a-la biblical. The "extended cut" ending was far far worse, and cheapened it. |

Maybe I'm just stupid but does this sound like a disk locked content aka capcom deal? I'm not trying to hate on this dlc but seriously if you understand this as not being disk locked content please explain it to me cuz thats what I'm taking it as after reading those quotes above. |

I think the reson why it's taken so long for single player DLC could be that, for months and months, Bioware have had to deal with all the demands to change the ending. Perhaps that shifted their priorities and maybe we'd have been seeing this sooner if it wasn't for that. Personally I don't mind that it's been about 5 months for this to happen. I hate buying a new game and there being a stream of DLC for it before I've even had a chance to beat the core game though I can see how it might iritate those who rented, or traded/sold their copy. |

Just my 4 pence (my opinion is obviously worth a lot more to you peons but I'll force it down your throats with a significant discount) I know the report says 'expand on' rather than 'change' because those are the words written but this dlc is obviously going to negate any previous ending I've seen regardless if I download it or not and it's currently impossible to end the game without it since everyone is still waiting to see the ending! I already paid £39.99 for this game, I shouldn't have the option to pay more to expand on it! Thanks EA I'm glad I'm able to continue to whinge about dlc released long after I got rid of the game! |

@24 not stupid but you are aware that bioware add code 'hooks' to the game for a lot of planned dlc (just like ashes)? Presumably that's what they're doing here. Makes it easier to integrate the new stuff into the existing game and, for on disc stuff, saves on download size. Some of it might be there but not all. On another note, pretty sure that we got the easier to produce MP dlc whilst they spent the majority of the time sorting out the extended cut which meant their planned sp dlc schedule got delayed. |

| @31 thank you! That makes a lot more sense and I've always respected bioware for not giving in to the disk locked content craze like other developers. I can appreciate them adding code "hooks" if its part of a dlc plan, that dosent bother me in the same way as finishing a game then taking chunks of it out to re-charge already paying customers. Thanks Again for writing that out so well Kroesis :) |

@15 I'll bitch about the ending all I want, when it makes no god-damn sense. And people don't understand the ending of Lost because it sucks-- it's not that the viewers (or the gamers, in this case) are too stupid, or aren't paying enough attention-- it's that the writers got lazy and didn't check their facts. The Lost ending sucked because writers quit and were replaced with morons; the ME3 ending sucked because writers decided to totally ignore everything they had established in the first two games. As fun as ME3 may be to play, there are tons of plot holes, and the ending is, indeed, shit. Feel free to continue trying to rationalise some weird theory to make sense of it-- but it's still shit. |
