If they do decide to do another title, I hope they learned from past mistakes. The first one was a success because I wasn't too realistic, but it wasn't to Arcade'y at the same time, it was a nice balance between both. Where as all the latest one's are all based around goofing off, doing retarded tricks and stupid challenges that oculdn't phase a 3 year old.
The reason Skate was so sucessful was because Black Box saw what the market needed and they delivered brilliantly. Activision could do with taking a thing or 2 away from Black Box. |

They might have had strong sales as mugs like me bought the game excepting a full HD remake. Instead I got trimmed levels, no custom characters and a clunky control system.
Disappointing; a word that's familiar with Activison. |

I think they should just wait and reboot the franchise on the next gen xbox, its a little late in this console cycle to reboot a franchise (Tomb raider not included because thats been in production for a good 2 years or more already)
They already have xbox 720 dev kits so i hope they use them to reboot Pro Skater. |

| The recent HD remake was abit of fun but don't let it go to your head, Activision. Just leave it as it is for now. Give us the DLC and maybe HD Pro Skater 4 down the track but please don't make another retail game. It will be a waste of your and our money. |

I'd love a new TH game, there are issues though
first if they make it it has to be in the style of PS i can't be arsed playing as some randomer i want to play as tony hawk
they also need to make it so you only need a controller to play, it was all the stupid fake skateboards you had to buy that ruined the others |

| THPS HD is a effing crap remake. Glitchy as hell, terrible controls (maybe due to the xbox dpad), poor level choice(Downhill Jam? Really? The worst map in TH ever!) And that fact that Ive made stupidly high scores even though I FELL of my board and/or glitched into infinity! Dont make another one when you can't even make the remake better than the originals. You'll just lose money again like Ride and the other peripheral game i dont remember. |

| it'll bomb, I played the demo of this one and turned a hard right to hit that quarter pipe (I think that's what it is) and ended up going through the roof outside the level and did a never ending trick grab combo till the time ran out - didnt even hit the ground to land it - Poop ! |

A REMAKE (basically) of games that were already extremely successful when they were released, was extremely successful

@34: It actually makes quite a bit of sense. They re-released levels from the old games to see if there was still interest. Clearly there is. 90% of the people commenting here are making demands for new ideas or even more HD remakes of the older games. Sounds like there's a great deal of interest there.
Most people stopped liking the games when Shred and Ride came out because of the shitty peripheral idea but for as bad (in some ways) as Project 8 and Proving Grounds were, people still bought and played them because they love the series.
If you ask me...saying they made THPSHD to gauge whether or not there was interest is only a half-truth. I think they KNEW there was interest and I think it was more to earn some capital and show the higher-ups that there's potential in making a new game. |

The game is ok & was a must buy for me just for the Memories alone but all in all i just wish they would of gave us the same game as i played it years ago in it's original form, No Hd or anything cut Ect... Just the game as it was & i think i would be enjoying it alot more but none the less this remake is still a good game & brings back good memories
Also i am all for them releasing a new Hawk as long as they stick to what made these games great to begin with |

| Bad idea. Look at how they ran the franchise into the ground, with a new one every two weeks. Continue DLC support on the port that you just released onto XBLA. Activision has no idea when to hold and when to fold. |

| I just played the HD demo and I think it´s not worth the money. After the SKATE series I can´t go back to the simplistic gaming of THPS. 13 Years ago it was fantastic but I don´t need it anymore. And when it comes to childhood and teen memories, I could still play the original games on my PS2, if I wanted. |
