| That's cool and all, but how many would it have sold without the RE6 demo? |

| I think most of the people bought it for the Resident Evil 6 demo. |

| @2 - I was thinking the same thing. I haven't played the game yet, and I hope it's good, but the same thing happened with Crackdown. They stuck the Halo 3 BETA on the disc and it sold loads. Luckily, Crackdown was a brilliant game. |

Top game, played 140 hours in my first playthrough. was hoping for some proper DLC for it but as there isnt any, probably just complete my 2nd playthrough and trade it now. Heres hoping they really do make DD a series now!! |

| @4 - I bought Crackdown for the game and found it generally a lack lustre experience. Needed much more to do than search for orbs and kill people. |

| I didn't get it for any demo, still enjoying my 3rd playthrough. Wish some of the DLC was more than shitty little fetch quests though. |

Well done capcom, you now what you need to do now though don't you. RELEASE MONSTER HUNTER!!! Surely this game selling so well has proven that there is a market. Come on, you know you want to. |

| DD was a great game I sure as hell didn't buy it for RE6 demo that you get to play later anyway. I'm glad it did well. |

| I took a risk buying Dragons Dogma, and I'm happy it paid of. I enjoyed Skyrim, but DD was way more fun imo. |

I know this won't achieve anything but I made a petition to let Capcom know, we want a Monster hunter in the west. http://twitition.com/m9bul |

@9 I'm with you on a MH coming to the West, but I think you missed something in the article that really doesn't lend us a hand in that plight, it's as follows: "Despite the game's success in Japan, Dragon's Dogma has struggled in other territories, although it's "exceeded expectations" on Capcom's native soil. This success in Japan has led to sales of 1.05 million units, that could mean the beginning for a series of sequels." Particularly the mention of it struggling outside of Japan. It has succeeded in Japan, and has exceeded expectations in Japan, not elsewhere unfortunately. Unless the writer messed up, because the part about it exceeding expectations on Capcom's native soil (Japan) is a bit redundant at the point it is said. |

| @22 Haha... I would have picked up ORC for fifteen bucks too had I not rented it when it released. I didn't get a chance to play it with friends but it'll be fun if you can get a couple people together and do it that way. |

@21 if you're a big fan of RE, then for the love of god DON'T play ORC!!! OT the most worry thing about the entire article is that Capcom have made a shit load of money by being aggressive with DLC. You all know what that means in the future. You'll be buying fighting games with about 2 characters in it, and have to pay to unlock all the others. Used to be a real fan of Capcom, but IMO they are getting worse than both EA and Activision. |

| IT's a decent game, I just hate the fact their's not really fast travel and the enemies don't change on the path so it feels repetitive. |

This is bad bad news.. I wish people would stop supporting this game and others like it. Why? Because Capcom is swindling you. Lots of the DLC is on the disc, locked away to be paid for a second time at your discretion if you want to use it. All you fools buying this are saying, hey Capcom, you are doing great, we love disc locked content, we love paying for this that you do not give us unless we pay you twice. We love handing out money, especially for things we already own essentially buying them twice! Yay! |

@27 what are you on about? I have put nearly 140 hours into this game and I have not purchased one piece of DLC! Now if that isn't value for money I don't know what is! I can't wait for a sequel! |

Edging up to 90 hours now, no DLC needed. All the stuff on offer is useless by level 10-30 or is just basic micro-transaction cosmetic stuff that I have no interest in. I hope that other games in the fantasy genre learn from the combat and enemy interaction in this game. On that note, kudos to anyone who can mod the wolves in Skyrim to behave like wolves in Dragon's Dogma. That would be totally awesome. As for why it didn't do as well here but I love it, well, maybe the game is just my style. I got it used so I suppose that isn't counting toward the sales figures at all. :/ (but honestly, I hardly ever buy games new any more; hard to with a cheaper alternative when you're short on game funds) |

Please buy this game people, It's easily the best game to come out this year & because of dodgy sales numbers over seas this is exactly why amazing games like 'Monster Hunter' hardly ever get released over here. Why should they release them if only a handful of people actually give a shit & then people will moan "Why do we always get the same old rehashed games" Hmm i wonder why moron! |

1. DD is a great game. 2. ORC was a pretty good game. I think if it came out as an original IP it would have gotten higher scores. 3. Guy in DD pic looks exactly like Faramir. |

| I sure as hell didn't buy DD for the RE6 demo. I'm still looking forward to RE6 but if the demo hadn't been on this game, I still would've bought it. I'm on my 6th playthrough of this game and still enjoying it. I did play the RE6 demo and it was good, but only lasted me maybe 30 minutes. I'm pretty sure people didn't spend $60 for a 30 minute - hour demo of a game that isn't that far away. |

| This is fantastic news the game is absolutely great I had high expectations for it and it delivered spectacularly they can only improve the game for the sequel. Anyone who bought a full retail game to get a demo is fucking retarded in my opinion what a waste of money for an early demo lol idiots. |
