Killswitch Engage make their return to Rock Band this week, with three new tracks.

“The End of Heartache” comes from the 2004 record of the same name; “The Arms of Sorrow” is the second single from 2006’s As Daylight Dies and “Starting Over” is the second single from the band’s 2009 self-titled fifth album. Chuck 'em all together and that's this week's triple pack.

Check out the full details below.

Killswitch Engage Pack 01 - 440 Microsoft Points (160 Microsoft Points each. X = 80 Microsoft Points per track for a Pro Guitar/Pro Bass upgrade O= support for keyboards)

  • Killswitch Engage – “The End of Heartache” X
  • Killswitch Engage – “The Arms of Sorrow”
  • Killswitch Engage – “Starting Over” O

(All tracks are original master recordings)

Look out for them on the Xbox Live Marketplace from July 31st.

Say what you want about a lot of modern music (nothing beats the greats, though some come pretty close), but Killswitch Engage are one of the best of this era. However, now they've lost Howard and are back with Jesse, I'm not sure if they'll stay on top.

Oh, The Arms of Sorrow is definitely the best track to listen to, though I'm excited to see what The End of Heartache is like on Pro Guitar.

@9 - Not everybody can spare money. $30 may be nothing to you, but could be a lot to someone. I have to make sure I'm able to spare £10 on a game after all of my bills and costs of living.

Think of the situations of other people before assuming they can afford something.

This article doesn't feel complete unless somebody's complaining about how much space these songs take up on the marketplace. I'm waiting, trolls.

They're not on my iPod but all my friends really enjoy this band. But one band that I've been holding out for to get on RB3 is Steely Dan, it would be amazing to play some songs off the Aja album on this game

@10 i get your point but that guy has 37,000 points and he has rockband 2 so he can afford to play alot of games and own some instruments already so he should be able to spare 30 bucks for an awesome game like rockband 3.

@12 - You really don't understand what you are saying. Gamerscore means nothing in terms of what a person can afford. He could have rented a lot, or had a bit of money before, but doesn't now. I have 184,000 and can't afford a lot anymore since my financial circumstances have changed.

@19 - Apparently, #18 can. It's not a lot of money for anyone. Make us poor people who work hard for what little we get feel worse. Awesome.

I said it shouldn't be alot of money (wishful thinking) but i'm not rich i just don't have friends therefor rarely spend my money (going out, etc) and i can afford certain things some people can't, sometimes i forget not everyone has it as good as we do in Australia, alot of us get paid nearly $500 a fortnight for doing nothing (not me i have a job.)

But to actually comment on these songs I'm gonna get all 3 I enjoy killswitch every now and then

It's $7.99 used. You could save $2 a week for a month and be able to buy it. If someone can't afford that, they then should really rethink having an xbox.

@22: exactly. Also, has anyone else's instruments stopped working recently? After the beta update, all of my guitars and my drums stopped working. The keys and mics work fine, though.

Has anybody else notices the large number of D-bags that have gone through and made sure all recent Rock Band downloads clogging up the new release section receive a poor rating? I find it amusingly pathetic. But at the same time, maybe that'll actually motivate Harmonix to stop doing it...hmm...
