Its sad eople might lose their jobs, etc Now that the offical bit is out of the way.The game was terrible, and I mean horribly bad.As a long term fan of silent hill,it was on par with awefulness of Homecoming.Hopefully Konami will see this as a sign to rescue the silent hill series by bringing it back to japan |

| As far as I'm concerned the only really good games in this series are 2+3. That said, I never played 1 or 4 but homecoming though good just wasn't the same. Monsters weren't as unnatural and the story lacked the puzzle like nature of the rest of the series. It was still good, just not by much. Downpour looks like a really fun game, but not a really good silent hill. And whose the idiot who decided we'd have primarily human like enemies in a silent hill game?? |
|

Forum Posts: 263 | Comment #11 by Saracin Monday, July 23, 2012 @ 10:55:36 AM | |
@10 All of the games had mostly human like enemies, with some animal like ones thrown in to the mix. Nurses, ghostly children, even Pyramid Head had a human body. The problem lately has been the newer games feel like they are trying to steal from the old games instead of come up with a fresh approach to the nightmare that is the town of Silent Hill. |

| This is the game I am currently playing and it is brilliant a real throwback and trumps the Resi Evil games of late, I was hoping for a follow up or sequel and compared to most other Konami games I was impressed. Damn shame Vatra maybe somebody else out there will revive you well anyone except hActivi$ion |

| Wait, Vatra releases one of the buggiest and most lag ridden games of this generation (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Amu1h8JwVxY), promises a patch which has still yet to come, and people are surprised they're going under? Gosh, it's like feeling sorry for that kid at Burger King that got fired for standing in the lettuce bins. |

This game is good but got lots of bugs and this game need patch. Lazy developer for not do patch fixes. So I am glad got 1000G and they not release DLC with achievements. Konami need wake up because almost of their games got too much bugs. Hehehe Sorry to know developer might shutdown. Good luck to those people. :) |

| take off the nostalgia glasses silent hill 2+3 were soooooooooooooooooooo boring ( especially the achievements), Downpour was amazing i loved the other world sections in that game. homecoming had a bad story but the gameplay was better than 1-3 also. also people who haven't played this, i wouldn't take advice from most of the people here. Look at these intelligent sounding names: I mak3 big boom, SupremeTaco, Q Dawg187, Slayinfool, with names like these they gotta have great taste right?, RIGHT? |

RE: Bethesda games Those are gigantic, real world games where it's 99% impossible to bug test everything without spending an entire console generation playtesting it. Downpour is a tiny, TINY map where I literally couldn't even walk across the floor of the hotel basement without it autosaving every 2 seconds and making my character teleport rather than walk because of the lag. There is absolutely no excuse for releasing a game at full retail price where it's already virtually unplayable within the first 10 minutes of gameplay. Hell, even the OPENING DREAM sequence in the showers was a laggy nightmare with hit detection worse than the Smackdown games. |

Lots of companies are dying. In large part because we are in a much more strict economic period. People are not willing to spend as much as they were a decade ago and they have to choose a limited selection. Games that only have singleplayer or not a well developed multiplayer are doomed, when people can gets hundreds or thousands of hours out of others. This is a time of companies showing they can evolve or they will die. |

SH series needs a huge revamp to bring more audience, I know it might sound like a sore thought too pure fans of series but in order for studio to be successful a game needs to sell more copies and for that easy access and frantic combat should be present They need to go more action and set piece moments oriented or the series will wither away |

@37 IMO, Skyrim isn't that good at all, I couldn't even play it until I got the full 1000. The combat system was shocking, just charge and bash RT, even the dragon fights were followed the style of, 'just hack at it until its dead'. The Graphics were awful, I know this usually isn't all that important but for a game that is all about exploring, good graphics are kinda needed so that i can enjoy the view as I'm going. |

| This game was fun. I loved the side quests part of it. I know it was riddled with bugs and graphics lag, but the graphics were pretty damn good! I wish they had come out with some DLC with more side quests or mysteries..anything to have us spend a couple of hours wandering around the town. My favorite part was when I climbed the fire escape and went in the window. I was in the Apt. from SH4: The Room. It was fantastic! |
