They are making it so Medal of Honour is out one year, Battlefield the next, switching it up each year. I feel sorry for those with Premium, will barely have a few months before all that content is gone as the BF4 beta comes out and then the game itself. |

| This strategy must of worked well with the last Medal of Honor.I expect this game will be for next gen and it will hopefully be able for all the extras the Pc version of Bf3 has.Still hope we see a return to the Bad Company series at some point. |

Battlefield 4 will probably be released in the 4th quarter of 2013.
The problem is that I rather would have had Bad Company 3 or some other Battlefield title, one that is more futuristic or Sci-Fi. Didn't DICE mention they were tired of the modern era setting in FPS's? |

It's make sense because BF: BC 2 and MoH in 2010, BF 3 in 2011, MoH: Warfighter in 2012 (this year) then BF 4 in 2013 as those each yearly release just like COD but 2 different modern FPS from EA. Lol

I want to know why everyone is so mad about there being a Battlefield 4 beta with Medal of Honor? People will flip over anything that's nice.
I'm thinking that BF4 may be an early next gen thing so it may be good if they put a little more time into it.
Other than the overly expensive DLC and shit tons of lag, I don't see what's wrong with BF3... |

@14 The thing is, it's virtually been confirmed there. EA will announce some form of Battlefield next year for a Q4 release date, they're switching between MOH and BF each year. It'll go something like this:
2012:MOH
2013:BF
2014:MOH
2015:BF
It will just go on and on. Let's admit it, as soon as EA announce it next year for a Q4 release date, everyone will know it will start to get milked just like COD. |

| @39 - I was thinking the same thing. The amount of effort that has gone into BF3, it seems silly that they'd be working on the next iteration so soon. Like others that have posted, I was hoping to see a sequel to BC2. I appreciate BF3 for what it is, but since my primary platform is Xbox, I think the maps are too big and I tire of running around like a lost puppy. For BF4 to be enjoyable for me, it'd have to have more players and we're not going to see more than 24 players per game on the 360. Perhaps this is for the next Xbox, who knows? For now, I'm happy playing BC2 again, but we'll see what they come up with. |

Only thing I fear is that if it is true, that means it will be this gen.
The game really has too many restrictions on console to be something better/innovative than bf3 was/is. Without holding back its pc version 10 fold for another installation.
Which overall just bomb the games quality and no one wins. |

I'm not kidding I'm really going through with this boycott of both companies. I looked at new releases for activison and all I see is COD (again) and prototype (half assed franchise). As for EA it's going to be another crappy Medal of Honor sequel and Crysis 3 (Crytek could do so much more than Crysis sequels). I'm sorry, but I have no interest in what is coming out for those companies and quite frankly I could give a shit less about it.
To all the people who think that Activision and EA control the publication of almost every game is bullshit. There are so many other gaming publishers that have way better games coming out in the future. 2K games is publishing Borderlands 2. Microsoft is publishing Gears of War and Halo (even though the Gears prequel didn't need to be made). Bethesda publishes their games as well as games from Id Software. Vale has their own method of publishing so they don't have to go through people like EA or Activision at all (with maybe the exception of retail).
I see so many better games being distributed by other companies that I feel more obligated to buy from because they have better business practices. Just look at all the bullshit EA and Activision have done in the past. For starters look at map pack prices, they have increased to 15 dollars a pack. Why would you pay that much for a bunch of shitty multiplayer maps when that money can go towards whole packs of games on Steam. Activision is charging 60 dollars for detailed rank on Call of Duty when it used to be a free service (now EA has followed in their footsteps) EA rushed the production of Dragon Age 2 and it failed miserably. EA released day 1 DLC which is just absolute bullshit. The list goes on.
These companies don't deserve the profit for what they churn out every year. I am keeping myself from buying Mass Effect 3 because I don't want to be forced to use EA's piece of shit digital distribution platform on PC.

I really fail to see why people are linking BF with MOH and bawwing over taking turns each year.
Sure, DICE made the MP for the last installment, but they aren't now and nothing says they will in the future.
It's not because EA, as publisher, decides to slap a BF demo on MOH, that they're linked together.
In that failed logic, Resident Evil and Dragon's Dogma will also take turns each year. (admittedly, both from Capcom devs, but probably not the same team)

...God I feel old reading some of these posts. Does no one here even remember the time between BF1942 and BF2? I'm pretty surprised EA is being this pants on head and pumping out another Battlefield in the main line. A spin off would make more sense, like the sequel to 2142 DICE hinted a while back, or hell maybe EA should get off DICE's back and let them do Mirror's Edge 2.
