Wonder if they're gonna simultaneous release on the 360 and 720 or if its coming out earlier in the year (Rockstar May perhaps? Red Dead, LA Noire and Max Payne 3 have all been released in May over the last three years).

I'd say those are either PC or next gen console dev shots, rather than 360 shots.
They look great though right?
Rockstar have said that this game is their largest open world game to date - so I can't see how it would look that pretty on current gen consoles.
Still - if the story is as good as in the last game, then this is a day 1 purchase for me. |

Maybe PC shots (Even if they aren't, screenshots always looks better than the game itself.) but hasn't it been established that the game is coming for 360 and PS3? Regardless it looks fantastic. I'm more curious about learning the premise for the game though. |

| Read Dead Redemption was one of those rare games where you could do whatever you wanted and I really liked that about it. And gta 4 which was my first xbox game they tried to make it open world but it just wasnt there and i hope gta 5 is like RDR because that was an amazing game with an epic story. |

That 2nd pic looks like early next-gen graphics. With cut-scenes and the like how are they going to pull this off on the Xbox 360 without multiple discs? I hope you just have to download content of something.
I was amazed with how much they crammed into Skyrim but with no cut-scenes and loading screens every few minutes... |

They are DEFINITELY console shots...No AA for one, the draw distance is bad (you can only JUST see a few cars on one street no peds, plus the peds on the water shot look places, there are no other peds around) and the colours are washed out too. Have you ever played GTAIV on PC? It looks better than this... this is an early console build. Looking good so far though, good work Rockstar, can't wait as always. |

| Max Payne 3 & LA Noire have better graphics on console than this... and obviously also a string of other titles. Because GTA is an open world game with a lot of content there are limits. Yes, it looks great on that basis so far, but this is definitely a game of 'this gen'. A lot of people are seriously misinformed if they think this is by any means stretching the current gen limits. It is essentially GTAIV with higher res textures (Like RDR was), the lighting effects and everything from the first screenshot are incredibly similar to GTAIV. |

| Damn this game looks good. I am think Holiday 2013 release, right along with the new Xbox & PS. Alot of developers already stated that the Xbox is burnt out when it comes to being able to "push the limits". If it does come out on 360 I say there will be at least 4GB of content to download. No way those are 360/PS3 screenshots. |

| Most likely Pre-rendered or PC graphics. Too many games do that and get your hopes up just to dash them right before release, untill you realize current consoles peaked awhile ago graphicwise. Specially for a game of this size. |

- GTA: San Andreas, one of my top 5 most favorite games of all time.
- GTA IV, one of the top 5 most disappointing videogame sequels of all time, to me. (just because of the slow mechanics and horrible driving gameplay compared to the previous games)
But GTA V looking very promising! Can't wait for a demo or at least gameplay!!! |

| Let not be mislead mostly gamestudios release ingame screenshots taken from a PC not from a console ;) Even then it still looks amazing. If they mabye make it more open world where events going on instead of the usual "Drive from point A to point B and pick your buddy up, then go to C and destroy everything" it def would be cooler. I think storywise GTA IV had a fun story and more bit as some said it was somehow dissapointing. |

the city layout in the first pic looks not much different than the northern area of Alderny in GTA IV so its doesnt really do much for me in terms of hype like with past games.
im gussing the 2nd one was to show off their water graphics which isnt really a big deal...the one in GTA IV was good too, or it could be to give us an idea of how big the map is since we only see a few buildings anywhere in the skyline compared to the first and obviously dont see any of the mountains or vineyards it the distance that we already saw in the trailer.
but for me this game is going to come down to how they implament what they did with RDR interms of an online XP system along with LOADS of ways to increase it just within Free Roam AND NOT EVEN KILLING OTHER PLAYERS.
we could do almost every Journal side quest stuff from the SP in MP and earn XP, along with doing hideouts or just killing cops. if they only give us basic PVP deathmatch, thats gonna be srsly disapointing |

@#88 - I've been saying for weeks now that GTAV will come out before the end of the year based on Take-Two's financial projections of making nearly 2 billion in profits by next March.
Wouldn't surpise me at all if it was the end of October. It's not like they'd have to do a long, costly marketing campaign to raise awareness/interest in the game.

| Oh dear, the city looks a bit too much like GTA4 style, it may be brightened up a bit but there was nothing wrong with the old school GTA's. A little cartoonyness is always way better than loads of copied and pasted grey builings everywhere, realism isnt always the best. |
