wow... This looks awesome >_>Thursday, July 12, 2012 @ 09:02 AM
Definitely sounds more enjoyable than Close Quarters. Anyway, I don't think this DLC will add new guns, it's all about vehicles obviously. But there are more than enough guns for now.Thursday, July 12, 2012 @ 09:04 AM
Biggest map for the biggest game that failed last year.Thursday, July 12, 2012 @ 09:07 AM
I can't wait for the biggest map ever so I can wander around for even longer than I do on Caspian Border without seeing any other players because the console versions have a lower player limit.Thursday, July 12, 2012 @ 09:10 AM
Bigger doesnt mean better when you only have 24 players max in a gameThursday, July 12, 2012 @ 09:10 AM
@3 wait.... this isnt a mw3 article On topic more battlefield is always good !Thursday, July 12, 2012 @ 09:23 AM
Biggest map for 24 players on console.. it will be like finding Waldo.Thursday, July 12, 2012 @ 09:27 AM
@7 Not if people actually use the vehicles instead of playing Rambo.Thursday, July 12, 2012 @ 09:31 AM
I'm not worried about the map size for 24 players. With enough vehicles there will be no problems getting to objectives and finding some action. If you want action on the big maps you have to PTFO, which is the point of the game.Thursday, July 12, 2012 @ 09:32 AM
BORINGThursday, July 12, 2012 @ 09:35 AM
@9 what does PTFO mean?Thursday, July 12, 2012 @ 09:38 AM
@11 Play The Fucking ObjectiveThursday, July 12, 2012 @ 09:39 AM
@7 Probably not, there will still be certain areas of the map with the most action and a lot of parts of the map will rarely be packed, unfortunately. But, the bigger, the better, in my eyes.Thursday, July 12, 2012 @ 09:39 AM
im sure, no matter how large it is, they will find and kill me. but September? probably late september too.Thursday, July 12, 2012 @ 09:49 AM
@12 that is a stupid acronymThursday, July 12, 2012 @ 09:52 AM
fuck we need bad company 3 for console already.Thursday, July 12, 2012 @ 10:03 AM
It best be 3 times bigger than Khrag Island :DThursday, July 12, 2012 @ 10:15 AM
Can't wait for this expansion, but there isn't really any new news here. I guess everyone just needed to post the most recent blog post on it :pThursday, July 12, 2012 @ 10:17 AM
what you all forget is that the pc servers will probably get space for twice the amount of players because the maps are so big. on console with already only 12? if you donĀ“t have a vehicle you can suicide or run for an hour.Thursday, July 12, 2012 @ 10:18 AM
12 on each side of course.Thursday, July 12, 2012 @ 10:28 AM
Its even better in the PC version.Thursday, July 12, 2012 @ 10:49 AM
Want. Want this with 64 player matches. But still want.Thursday, July 12, 2012 @ 11:40 AM
Battlefield history??? how much history does it really have? Come on now. 4000 MSP NO F*CKING WAY. Overpriced shit just like Activision and COD.Thursday, July 12, 2012 @ 11:49 AM
@23 4000 for 5 expansion packs + lots of other extras..... yeah.... just as bad.... totally not worth it #trollThursday, July 12, 2012 @ 11:50 AM
@23 21 games incl expansions at my count, spanning 10 years. Nobody is charging 4000 points for this map pack. They are charging 1200. And if you've played any of the Battlefield games (which you have not, at least on the Xbox 360), 15 bucks for four maps, new guns, new vehicles and in a few cases, almost an entirely new game, is pretty good. Its 4000 points if you want all 5 expansions for the game paid for up front, instead of 6000 points paying for them individually. And its not like they threw them at everyone at launch, when playing them, its pretty easy to see the amount of work that they put into every map. Even maps that are overhauls of previous Battlfield games werent just pushed in, they were actually built again from the ground up just using the ancestor map as a blueprint. But of course, you weren't looking for logic here. Sorry.Thursday, July 12, 2012 @ 12:00 PM
shit gameThursday, July 12, 2012 @ 12:01 PM
Bigger than BF2? I don't think so.Thursday, July 12, 2012 @ 12:02 PM
It may have the biggest maps, but that will be incredibly boring seeing as consoles is still at 12 v 12 for the regular shipped maps, 8 v 8 for the CQ DLC and probably 12 v 12 again for this DLC. Endless running if you don't get a vehicle.Thursday, July 12, 2012 @ 12:02 PM
HOOOOOOOOOLYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY FFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCKKKKKKKKKKKK! Tanks! Tanks and more tanks! This will be epic. Engineers will have a field day...Thursday, July 12, 2012 @ 12:29 PM
Battlefield history = since BC2 probably, knowing DICE. No way will we see a map even close as big as El Alamein from 1942.Thursday, July 12, 2012 @ 12:59 PM
@30 Bad Company is not even classified as Battlefield in my book.Thursday, July 12, 2012 @ 01:14 PM
Wow, I dont even know where to begin. There are so many ignorant, uneducated, or straight up trollish comments to respond to. Haha, I just don't know how anybody who knows anything about videogames could not respect this game.Thursday, July 12, 2012 @ 01:41 PM
@29 @32 I hate douchebags like you who mess up the comments system. Don't bother posting.Thursday, July 12, 2012 @ 02:02 PM
How about an IP ban for 29.Thursday, July 12, 2012 @ 02:03 PM

36 is a COD FanBoyThursday, July 12, 2012 @ 02:57 PM
Lol, STONE DEVIL, you never cease to amaze me with how fucking stupid you are. Go and play in traffic and do everyone a favour.Thursday, July 12, 2012 @ 03:00 PM
@25: no new weapons, only vehiclesThursday, July 12, 2012 @ 03:22 PM
Can you buy the dlc separate from the premium.Thursday, July 12, 2012 @ 03:42 PM
@ Yeah but it will end up costing 20% more than premium. $60 instead of 50, or whatever your currency is.Thursday, July 12, 2012 @ 03:43 PM
@40Thursday, July 12, 2012 @ 04:26 PM
@3 How did it fail? I find it fun... you must be a COD fanboy... get some taste.Thursday, July 12, 2012 @ 05:13 PM
@33 let me tell you why I don't respect this game, I sold it over two monts ago so i don't how bad it is now, but to start things off I'd be lucky if i went a day without BF3 freezing on me, another thing would be the map design is awful compared to BC2 considering most of them are just rush maps converted to conquest, so one team has a massive advantge over the other (I.E. op metro). Also, the maps are so huge for the amount of players that it's like trying ti find a needle in a haystack most of the time, and for a game who bragged about realism, a scope that reflects a sun that isn't there is pretty ridiculous, or tanks that slide down even the slightest slopes, or jets that get hit by a tank and still be able to fly.Thursday, July 12, 2012 @ 05:36 PM
@39 This one only has new vehicles. But I was talking in a general sense. You're getting something new other than just maps with each Battlefield DLC.Thursday, July 12, 2012 @ 08:59 PM
@45: Yes, and it's been confirmed that the last two, Aftermath and Endgame will have both new vehicles and new weapons.Friday, July 13, 2012 @ 12:30 AM
@44 I love battlefield, and I am not going to name all the reasons and annoy you with them, BUT I can say there are a lot of things I hate about it, and I can tell you with certainty that this game is compeletely far off from being realistic. They say they try for the realistic approach, but there are so many things I can name that are unrealistc. The first one the comes off the top of my head is how you can revive a teammate after he has been shot, even if he has been shot in the head.Friday, July 13, 2012 @ 12:38 AM
battlefield is good I just hate the gb's worth of updatesFriday, July 13, 2012 @ 02:00 AM
i still don't know if i want to buy the premium, i like the DLC for the achievements and don't know if the last 2 dlcs will have them.Friday, July 13, 2012 @ 02:31 AM
Bad company is by far the superior online console version of battlefield. BF3 is fucked beyond beliefFriday, July 13, 2012 @ 06:55 AM
#47 and #44 no matter how much realism they boast people like you guys need to take it with a grain of salt, it is a video game, no matter what, it will never be "realistic" because you do things like respawn, fight over some FLAGS for no reason whatsoever, I enjoy battlefield as one of my favorite online games but people who don't wanna play it because it's not realistic is just ruining it for themselves because you aren't gonna find a game that's realistic. Deal with it...Saturday, July 14, 2012 @ 03:19 AM
I really need to get the premium pass.Sunday, July 15, 2012 @ 03:21 AM
Can't wait for this. A whole DLC dedicated (mostly) to the only thing I own at in this game=tanks!Sunday, July 15, 2012 @ 04:51 PM
@51 Arma, and americas army :)

If anything's going to help persuade us to part with 4000 Microsoft Points for a Battlefield 3 Premium subscription, the forthcoming Battlefield 3: Armored Kill DLC could well be it. Promising to "up the ante for vehicular mayhem", the pack will boast a new Tank Superiority mode, which we're assuming means massive tank battles. Oh yes.
As well as offering new vehicles - including new tanks, ATVs and mobile artillery - Armored Kill will also include the largest ever map in Battlefield history, which means large-scale warfare will be getting even larger. Armored Kill will add four new maps in total, designed for "all-out vehicle warfare" and all six game modes will be supported across all maps.
Here's the lowdown from the official Battlefield 3 site:
Battlefield 3: Armored Kill will be coming in September, as the third of five expansions in the pipeline for DICE's FPS. Back to Karkand and Close Quarters are available now, and Aftermath and Endgame will be out in December 2012 and March 2013 respectively. You can grab all of the DLC with a Battlefield 3 Premium membership for 4000 MSP
