Spartacus Legends Fighting its Way Onto Consoles in 2013

Ubisoft has today announced that Spartacus Legends, a fighting game based upon the hit Starz TV series is set to enter the gladiatorial arena of combat on consoles next year. It'll feature popular characters from the show, engaging in brutal battles.

Taking you from training inside the ludus to primeval battling within the brutal arena surrounded by an audience baying for blood, Spartacus Legends boasts "thousands of ruthless weapon combinations" and a system for developing your fighter's skills, as well as a tools for customising your own gladiators.

You'll be able to play as Spartacus, Crixus or as a created gladiator in online or offline multiplayer battles, with leaderboard support. New Spartacus, Liam McIntyre (who took over the role from the late Andy Whitfield) will provide his voice and likeness for the character, and has been providing feedback on the game.

Spartacus Legends will be releasing in early 2013.

	These show games never go well, to me there worse than movie games because atleast with them you get a rare gem like Wolverine or amazing spiderman. While with TV games there is prison break and lost.... And before anyone mentions The walking dead, that is based on a comic.

	@2, while i dont think this game will be, it only takes 1 good game to change that, i mean before arkham asylum superhero games were kinda shite so this may be the one to finally make tv show games good!

	A great series, just don't need to think about it as you watch it, nothing high brow or thought provoking. Glad it has followed the general story behind Spartacus, such a shame the next series is the last. Hope theirs a multitude of ways to say rude roman things as you kill and maim, then run and have every random sexual element thrown in for good measure

	By Jupiters cock let this be a glorious game!! I really hope this is a good game, where you can slice limbs off and showboat and do all the stuff a gladiator does. I love the show, don't fuck this up!

	The latest series was good, and Liam has done well with the role, but it's just not the same without Andy, my he rest in peace. Still might give the game a try, but I dunno if it should be a retail game, seems more fitting to an arcade title.
