I appreciated black ops a ton...
The multiplayer felt balanced and fair and zombies was a blast.
It also had the some of the best dlc I've played.
I think this will be the best call of duty to date.
(I mean its pretty hard to screw up more than mw3) |

Funny how I've been seeing all these comments like "I've always liked Treyarch better than IW."
Those comments just scream bandwagoners.
Infinity Ward developed the original Call of Duty, starting the whole franchise. Treyarch made the PoS that was Call of Duty 3, definitely the worst game that entered the franchise. People who've been favoring Treyarch have probably just played Black Ops.
Most people wouldn't have been playing Black Ops after the success of IW's CoD 4: MW.
The entire CoD franchise could've gone in the shitter if IW hadn't made CoD 4.

What does the fact that certain developers were the first to start something, have to do with which game people feel is better? If people have played the COD games made by both IW and Treyarch and they find Treyarch's versions better then they have the right to say so. It's there opinion, its their personal preference. So what if Saints Row came out after GTA, its a different style of game, different characters, story gameplay etc. if someone finds it more fun than GTA then they can say Saints Row > GTA. There is nothing wrong with that. Get over yourselves and learn to understand that everyone is entitled to their opinion.
If you feel differently then fine, you can say so but don't try to discredit anyone and call them names because they like a game that came out after another one similar to it. I like IW's COD games more than Treyarch but not because IW were the first developers to make them but because they have been more fun for me. |

@18- What a dumb statement. Who cares what people prefer?.... Did you play that polished turd, MW3? I happen to like Treyarch better because WaW > MW2 and Blops > MW3. I've played them all and always got them for Christmas since the first one, until I started preordering with WaW. I feel like Treyarch makes the less "noob-friendly" game--- my opinion. I do agree CoD4 was the best and CoD3 was awful.
OT: If Treyarch follows in MW3s footsteps then this will be my last CoD purchase. |

By far one of the illogical comments I've read, and nice work for generalising everyone.
I've only been on CoD since #4, so frankly, I can't even refer to 3 as 'bad', seeing as I've never played it.
CoD4 remains my favourite one to date, but then IW made that POS MW2, and almost put me off the franchise. Thankfully, I got Black ops as a birthday present, and fell in love with it again.
ATM, for me at least, IW have made one I liked (#4), whereas Treyarch have produced 2 (WAW and BO). So, I obviously MUST be jumping on the bandwagon to prefer Treyarch, rather than formulating my own opinion... |

@48- It's just a classic marketing tactic. Also gets more eyes on it when people do a web search on the ones involved and it pulls up an article about the movie/game in question.
@ #50- Then why even bother posting a comment about it,especially one as childish as your first one. "Ohhh I made a dick joke, I'm so clever and edgy!!" Seriously man, if you don't like it, don't waste your time with it. All you even do by clicking on the article is give the site more hits for it,which in turn causes them to post more articles about the game. Read and comment on the things you actually care about and let those who do like COD be able to do so without needing to see your childish attempt at humor.
On topic-I am excited for the story though that is something COD has generally been good about, other then the actual length of the campaign. Still waiting to see more about the multiplayer and what additions they are making to zombie mode. |

| @18 - agreed. COD 4 and IW MADE COD what it is. Treyarch is always playing catch up. How is this "the most ambitious COD to date"? It's been the same repetitive shitty game since MW2, and this looks the samne. Graphics are equal to COD 4. Though it looks like Treyarch has taken some aspects of Tom Clancy's Future Soldier for their own. Figures, no creativity or originality. F U COD, you're not getting any more of my money. Damn Tony Todd for sinking to this level. And Trent Reznor sucks. The score to MW2 was the best and will never be topped. |

Looks good, but plays horribly slow and it's unresponsive as hell. I'll gladly take a game with bad graphics over good graphics if that means it will play better. |

51, that's what the comments section is for. To comment on the story. My comment on the story is that they are oversaturating the market with Call of Duty games, and I fucking dare you to tell me I'm wrong. And not only is it being oversaturated with Call of Duty games, but half of them (the Treyarch half) are HORRENDOUS. They can post all they want about it, but that doesn't make Call of Duty 3 good, it doesn't make World at War or Black Ops good, and it won't make Black Ops 2 good. It'll suck just like the rest of the lot.
