To be honest, I'm not picking this up. Dead Space now has too much action and less horror, with this cover system and evading around. But I'll probably play it at a friend's.
I'm sure many people, myself included, consider the first Dead Space to be the best the franchise has to offer. |

This looks pretty good.
I played and beat only the first game so I have to ask, was the second any good? I heard it had multiplayer and that it pretty much ruined the whole game. I might just rent the second and see for myself. |

the universal ammo kinda puts me off, but ill probably get it anyway, loved the first two.
@23 personally i felt 2 was better than one, the mp was not all that great, but it didn't ruin the whole game, that's a bit much. you should def give the game a shot, the story mode is really good. |

the whole reason for the co-op is just so we need the EA's online pass cause no-one played the DS2 MP

Yeah, this isn't Dead Space. I barely saw any dismemberment, and the Gears hybrid really doesn't work for this. He speaks of the game like a holy grail to original players, but it's all just talk without the game to back it up.

I watched this video last week and it was "Super Awesome". I expect the game to be close to "Super Awesome". The graphics are "Super Awesome", The fact that you get different cutscenes for single and co-op is "Super Awesome".

They keep saying that if you play single player the game will be just like the others. It's only when you choose to play co-op that the story will be adjusted and drop in/out will change things.
I don't know why they have to keep telling us that this the still the same Dead Space we know and love if they're not really changing anything for single player....this is like Michael Bay trying to put a spin on his crap TMNT idea. |

@32 The original Dead Space is indescribable. It's that brilliant. You can pick up a new copy for a pretty cheap sum. Dead Space 2 was alright, and it had a nice blend of action. Worth playing 2 or 3 times.
Dead Space 3, I have no clue about it. The cover system is a major turn off to me. The scares look so stale and expected.

| Sounds like I'm one of the only people who though the series story was fairly dull. Also, I heard they took out the ability to switch fire angles for the plasma cutter. Default better be horizontal. That was about the only weapon I really used in DS1+2 so if its not here I might not even bother playing. |

| The first game was iconic. The introduction of MP in DS2 was a joke and kept me away from it. Now with co-op added to DS3 and the run and gun gameplay, it's clear DEADSPACE is NO MORE!!! Another great title destroyed. DEADSPACE had a true survival horror aspect which has been thrown away to make way for a more shooter-like approach. Horrible decision. RIP DEADSPACE, I'll miss you. |

| You know what would be "SUPER AWESOME"? If this game had no co-op or multiplayer, universal ammo, or anything else that makes it less like Dead Space, and more like any other third person shooter. |
