| Sigh, got excited when I saw "new Walking Dead game", got a lot less excited when I saw it an FPS, and even less excited when I saw "Activision" on it. Which means there gonna be turning The Walking Dead, a series that not suppose to be about people running around shooting Zombies, but instead about survival, and trying to hold on to your humanity in a world that's gone to hell, into another "Call of Duty" clone. |

| Yeah im probably not the only one worried about activision doing this...maybe if telltale were collaborating with acti but these other ppl dont convince me. And i like how telltale took a different route with the arcade series. By acti including characters from the tv series it just seems like another dull idea to milk some money...but i guess that explains activisions involvement. |

would be good news if activision's name wasnt on it.
Walking Dead is a cash cow... after the first season the show got WORSE, but it has more fans.. its sad.
Walking dead FPS sounds like a bad idea... No where in a zombie apocalypse would you be out killing zombies non-stop, you'd be scavenging for food and resources. not going balls to the wall crazy running around killing zombies.
So in other words, its a FPS zombie game with the walking dead name on it to boost sales.
I'll stick to the tell-tale's interactive story-telling and leave this game for the birds.
WHY DOESN'T ACTIVISION JUST LISTEN TO THE MAJORITY OF THEIR FANS AND MAKE A STAND-ALONE NAZI ZOMBIE (CALL OF DUTY) GAME AND LEAVE DESCENT FRANCHISES ALONE?
while most of the second season sucked, IMO this game will end up sucking more even though little is known about this game. |

| Damn, another concept falls to the FPS. While I wasn't crazy about this episodic thing they're running now (feels too hands-off for me) it did a lot of things right. A shooter would just be taking steps backwards. Something like Uncharted on Playstation with less guns sounds right. I guess that's The Last of Us! |

FPS? Bleh, that likely means the environment won't be as context sensitive, and won't be as much about exploration as it will be "go from A to B and shoot or dodge the zombies". Lame.
Additionally, the Ghostbusters retail release developer did an awful job with Ghostbusters, despite delaying the game over a year. |

Has potential if it isn't given the CoD treatment. It does NOT need a multiplayer. Just make it fairly long and more about storytelling and survival than shooting zombies to shit. If I wanted to do that I would play Zombies on Cod or even better I would play a game that is good like Left 4 Dead.
On a side note there is a typo in the article. Third paragraph half way through it is suppsedly instead of supposedly. |

I think everyone is jumping the gun with their "opinions". We have heard absolutely nothing as to how the game will play, how the story will unfold, or what type of game it's going to be. Being an Activision game isn't a bad thing, they've had their hands in all types of different genres & game types for years, but everyone always goes back to Call of Duty. The worst part of this new is that its headed by Terminal Reality, who is notorious for pumping out a game and giving it zero support after they have your money!
People really need to learn to forge there own opinions instead of jumping on the "hater bandwagon". |

| Well, this completely sucks. I told myself that I would never buy another game made by these guys because of what they did with the Ghostbusters achievements. I follow this series so closely that now I feel like I have to buy it. FFS of all the developers out there it had to be these guys? People are bitching because Walking Dead isn't FPS material. At all. And the zombie bullshit has been done to death. It's disgusting how much the genre has been milked.
And now we have this. A FPS based on a series that has continued to do nothing but decline since season 2 started. With the firing of Frank Darabont, season 3 will no doubtedly be complete shit.
The arcade series is good enough. We don't need this. Walking Dead is not the type of source material for a FPS. Period.
The only potentially redeeming quality depends on whether or not they get Norman Reedus and Michael Rooker on board to voice their respective characters. But even that doesn't guarantee a decent tie-in. Just a shot at having some credibility.
But really, at this point, this entire idea has fail written all over it. |

| When I first seen this announced my heart sank. I love the Walking Dead franchise a lot whether it be the TV series or the games or the comic books. There's strong potential if they decide to make it like the DayZ mod for the PC.
As other people have said, the Walking Dead isn't about roaming around mindlessly killing all zombies, so I'm hoping it will be the survival style of Zombie game, rather than a Left for dead/Dead rising style affair.

this game could be awesome if they focus on story and charactors, make it about survival, not run and gun. also setting the game out into episodes like alan wake would give you the TV experiance too.
