DICE Announces 'Matches' Feature for Battlefield 3

DICE has revealed a new feature for Battlefield 3, called ‘Matches.'

As detailed on the developer’s official site, Matches "will allow players to coordinate competitive multiplayer sessions with their friends and squad members.

“The ‘Matches’ feature will allow players to coordinate competitive multiplayer sessions with their friends and squad members. Battlefield 3 players will be able to select the time, server, game settings, and roster for their Matches creating a controlled and definitive environment for competitive play.”

Players renting servers will be able to access Matches through Battlelog. "Once a dedicated server has been selected the Match host can set the Match name, start time, game mode, team size, and map rotations," said DICE.

	This feature will make platoon v platoon battles much easier to organise, and I for one am going to be using this feature very frequently.

	So.. do you need to rent a server to do this or can it be for any server? (possibly asked dumb question)

	More Rent-a-server bs. Though the function to boost achievements is better though.

	@2, until the other platoon leader is the owner of the server, feels like "u campin nub," and then boots you. Come on. Renting servers? Do these guys really need money that badly? Giving players control like this is a pretty bad idea, EA/DICE.

	@6 And calling other people faggots isn't really cool either. See I play in a league for bf3 so I like this feature going to look forward to testing it out.

	@9 Are you serious? There goes the rest of my 20GB HDD, which in reality is only 13.7, 7.2 of which is already occupied by BF3 not counting this.
