The Expendables 2 Video Game Confirmed With First Expendable Screens

Ubisoft is bringing the action movie dream team to the Xbox Live Arcade with The Expendables 2 Video Game, which will feature Barney Ross (Sylvester Stallone), Gunner Jensen (Dolph Lundgren), Hale Caesar (Terry Crews) and Yin Yang (Jet Li) as the four main playable characters.

Apparently, The Expendables 2 Video Game will expand upon the movie's universe with a prequel story that involves rescuing a valuable billionaire who's been kidnapped. Covering events leading up to the movie, The Expendables 2 Video Game is an explosive scrolling shooter that supports up to four players locally or online.

You'll also be able to control a range of vehicles as part of the "high-octane" action and battle for leaderboard placement as you complete challenges that'll take you through Burmese jungles, Somalian deserts and other locations where you can blow stuff up.

The Expendables Video Game is coming to XBLA this summer. Pricing and an exact date has yet to be confirmed. There's some screenshots below and a total of six in the gallery. Boom.

	@2 You obviously haven't played Kung Fu Panda. I'm glad that its not just another FPS, could be a fun co-op game.

	I had high hopes for this game, but now that the details were revealed, I didn't like what I saw. First, I'm not a big fan of XBLA games and I was hopping for first-person shooter or third-person shooter retail game. Also, since the Expendables movie has a very large cast of well known Hollywood stars, why stick with these four? Why not make like Marvel Ultimate Alliance and have the full roster but you have to choose only four of them to use.

	the godfather (the first game was pretty good), kung fu panda was a great platformer the first one the second was a generic kinect title spider-man 2 (original xbox and ps2) was also great the new amazing spider-man which is as well based on the movie. but there is quite a few movie video games that are above average to great games and they may have only choose those 4 as they were they only people who would lend there voice and budget (as those people would expect quite a bit for voice work and paying for there likeness)

	Wow, when I saw all 4 actors. I'm kind of disappointed. No Jason Statham, no Jean Claude Van Damme as a villain in the movie, how cool is that that you could play him as a villain.... I might buy it only because it has 4 players online co-op but remains wait to be seen when more info come out about this game.

	Old school 4-player arcade run and gun action!? That's the only type of game that makes sense in the Expendables universe in my opinion. Just straight-up Metal Slug chaos. Buying this for sure.

	This could be a good fun no brainer coop shooter, I'll take a look at the trial and make a decision based on that. I can see both points being put across here, generally movie tie ins usually do suck, but sometimes there's occaisionly an couple that break the rule. IMO the wolverine game was way better than the movie!

	Selecting Chuck Norris takes you directly to the end credits. Unlock all the achievements....for every game you ever played, and even games you didn't, It also gives you the RROD, following which you will die from your head exploding, as your house explodes taking out 50 blocks around.

	I love these simple little 4 player arcade games. Looks great and hopefully they will release DLC for the other characters from the movies.
