The biggest incentive in call of duty history is one pre-order map? Pretty much sums up the call of duty incentive history. Saying that they probably value it at about a tenner. |

@9, The Night Vision Goggles were not a pre-order incentive, they were a part of the Prestige Ed. of MW2. This article is about a pre-order incentive, so the two cant really be compared. @15, It made perfect sense to me. DLC does not mean that you have to pay to download it! Its just additional content that is not included in the retail game. I'm not really looking forward to this game though, to be fair. It looks like any of the previous current gen CoD games, the gfx and gameplay just dont seem to change in them. I think that they should stop rushing CoD and spend a bit more time in developing the games. There hasn't been a gripping CoD game since WaW/MW. |

'Re-imagined for the future?' Well, whats the point in it then? The chief reason I enjoyed Nuketown (Aside from close quarters craziness) as a map was it's happy, 50's style Nuke-testing style setting. If it's being updated 'for teh futurez', I frankly don't care for it. |

I can say that I'm actually surprised. Thought for sure that when I read this article that all comments would be from 12-year old fanboys praising the hell out of this. Guess more and more people are FINALLY waking up and realizing that in buying a shitty, rehashed game from 2007 they are simply feeding the beast and giving it another year to live. The line that really gets me is "The biggest incentive in COD history". I'm actually a bit disappointed, what putting "Yes we finally admit it, we recycle this shit each and every year but it doesn't matter how much our games suck because idiots will buy the same thing over and over if we make it sound epic". I can literally taste the arrogant, thoughtless statement by reading that. I pray more and more people will wake up and choose other games this year, like Borderlands 2 or Halo 4. Even obscure titles like Transformers: Fall of Cybertron or previous titles like Skyrim and Battlefield 3. The hell with it, PONG. I could literally play PONG for 5 minutes and get 50 million TIMES more entertainment out of that than I ever would with this pile of rancid. |

| Lets look back on the pre-order incentives of Call of Duty, starting with COD4. COD4= Nothng (That I know of). WaW=Nothing (That I know of). MW2= a poster. Blops=a poster. MW3= COD4 (PC only) or a sweepstakes entry (WOW!) or a poster and $10 off turtle beach headset from Amazon. BlopsII=an old map. Well, they aren't lying saying it is "The biggest incentive in COD history." Which is not saying much. |

@56 You missed the point ENTIRELY. Its not about whether they charge more or not, its the fact they tack on that statement. Most popular map? I dont know one person that DOES NOT hate that map. Obviously they're so full of themselves that they'd go so far as to create a Nuketown 24/7. Who in the hell would want to play a crappy map over and over and over? And then of course the "biggest preorder incentive in Call of Duty history". If they're aim was to drive potential customers away who were debating about getting it, I'd say mission accomplished. Not that it wont stop the millions of skill-less, gutless campers and whores who are still a couple years away from high school from begging and whining to their parents to buy it for them. Its the arrogance, the pure arrogance that is just dripping off of everything they put out, thats probably what pisses more people off than the fact its "just a preorder, calm your shit". |

CoD sucks!!!! straight up....and the people that play are even worse, glitchin, hacking, cheating, camping, always finding new walls and rocks to hide in. quick scope mods, drop shot mods....fuck that shit....this is why i play the best game ever.....BATTLEFIELD 3. graphics are better, weapons are better, more "realistic shooting", VEHICLES, better weapon mod classes, maps are WAAAAAYYYY bigger, more people in the lobbies/servers, more custom servers and game modes....need i go on? and yes i owned, played, beat and prestiged in every call of duty so i am a vet at the game, ive put my time in on all of them since CoD 2. honestly the best ones were the WW CoDs. |

@42 True but there are by far more on the COD articles then any other game. They have a habit of drawing out all of those that weren't going to get the game in the first place and trashing anyone who does like something they don't. @60 I like it actually. | Ugh, MP stuff is not, and never will be, an incentive for me to pre-order anything. I like the CoD series, but I hate how heavily de-emphasised the single player has become (the only thing I'm really interested in). A quality 12+ hour campaign would actually make me pre-order and buy these games again, instead of just borrowing them from a friend a year after release. MP can get stuffed. |

Same old shit, different year, I've played every cod for the single player which are getting shorter every game, and I actually played blops online a little too, but I refuse to spend £45 of my hard earned cash for re-hashed bullshit. While ever the public keeps buying this tosh and supporting it with all the add ons etc it will never change, next Gen will be the same too, the first next Gen will be awesome, new features and shiny new graphics but you can bet your ass every year thereafter will be recycled garbage. Also, @47, Fagatrons!! Lol added to my vocabulary hehe |
