What a waste of time and money. I guess well done to Bioware for doing it, but I don't think they should have given in. They could have been using this time to give us something new instead of pandering to the moaners. Next up Ridley Scott forced to change the ending to Prometheus because a bunch of people 'didn't get it'. |

| I find it interesting how people first complain to companies such as Bioware for producing as what they believe to be a underwhelming ending to a phenomenal serial and demand change or threaten to invade Canada. but now there are blokes who are claiming that with the new "extended cut" Bioware is selling out and simply pandering to some heated and upset people who did not like an artistic and in my opinion, one of the best endings to a gaming serials ever. Still it must be an american thing. I loved the ending of ME3 despite understanding the idea of lack of complete closure, but still great ending. In the end I will see the new ending and enjoy it for what it is. |

Was a little disappointed by the original ending but even so I'm not that obsessed by it to want to play the ending again months later just to see a cutscene?! Surely even those moaning about the ending would rather more money went into dlc than another ending that chances are now people will just rant and rave about?! |

I haven't beaten the game myself yet... I'll likely eventually get around to that... But I have seen the ending. I watched my friend play and beat the game in two days. I liked the ending. He raged hard about it. I understood what the ending was and just how BIG of an ending it was. He... He didn't get it. I'll get the DLC because it's free. Why not? And honestly, I didn't see the need to elaborate on the ending at all. Other than "why was Joker going through a Mass Relay at the time?" That's the only part that bugged me. Beyond that... Solid ending to a very enjoyable game. Let's hope this placates all the whiners who "didn't get it". |

| I don't have a save game that far back, nor do I want to play through from there to the end just for a cutscene. This should just be viewable from the main menu once you've finished the game. Even if there are slight changes to the cut scene depending on what you do, who cares? None of the other characters will know what happened to Shepard either way, just give us the damn cutscene. |

LOL @ All the People saying those who didn't like the ending didnt "understand" it, or are "Crybabies". You're elitist attitude is very amusing. Whatever you have to do to make yourself feel better. Maybe if you didn't just dismiss the upset people without a second thought, you would understand that The majority of the disappointed fans understood the "purpose" of the ending perfectly well, and understand the point of incomplete closure. So it doesn't matter whatever you want to call it - "artistic integrity"(LOL!) - the ending is pure garbage. The Extended Cut wont change that, so Bioware's precious "Artistic Integrity" Remains intact, and you can keep on thinking you're better than everyone else. |

@27 I was disappointed with the ending. But guess what? I accepted that it was Bioware's vision and moved on. It didn't change the fact that I still enjoyed the game, even if the end didn't play out exactly as I would have liked. All these people that spent the days, weeks, and months following ME3's release pissing and moaning on various forums, starting petitions etc. are crybabies, plain and simple. Bioware could have told us all "This was what we wanted, deal with it." but instead, they caved and released this DLC, which I'm sure some of these crybabies will still not be satisfied with. The fact they did this is pretty sad in my eyes. What's next? Didn't like the ending of Prometheus? Maybe we should demand Ridley Scott to film a new ending. Didn't like some band's new album? Demand they re-record it. Didn't like that new book? Demand that the author re-write it. Cause enough stink and anything is possible! |

I must admit I wasn't happy about the original ending but this is probably the first ending of a video game I've seen where the developer has decided to elaborate/extend the ending because of the general public's reaction. I do like the way they didn't change the ending but showed you the consequences of each ending (Although, who didn't realise that destroying the Reapers meant destruction for all synthetic life, he even says it in the non-extended ending.) and it has restored hope for the franchise in my opinion. This is just my opinion though :P |

I am a massisve Mass Effect fan. I've read the books and comics and received full GS on all three games. I even understood the ending properly, but the thing that upset me after all that was the fact that every decision that I made throughout this amazing triology was completly ignored within the last thirty minutes. Now I am open to the "Indoctrination Theory" and I pray for DLC based on it, I won't be holding my breath! Now if we can all get along we might actually get some decent ad ons in the near future. I'm Commander Shepard and this is my favourite site on the Cittadel! |

@31 - There wasn't a vision though, which is what I think the problem is. They were still faffing around in November, and just came up with the ending (supposedly only Casey Hudson and the main writer did this, keeping everyone else in the dark) in a few minutes after EA started breathing down their necks about another missed deadline. The vision was Drew Karpyshyn's, but they threw that out when he stopped working on Mass Effect. |

Regardless of where you stand on this one, the 'Prometheus' analogy is pretty ridiculous - is anyone seriously comparing being disappointed after staring passively at a screen for two hours to being disappointed after actually playing 3 games for 100+ hours? I think you'll find it's a considerably larger personal investment..... |

Man, I'm glad I wait until the ME games are around $30 before I play them. Now I'll only have to play once to see this ending. Something tells me whether people like this new ending or not, there will be an influx of used copies at the stores. :D @#6 - Oh, c'mon, Prometheus is just a poorly written film, there is nothing to "get" or "not get" at the end. :D Scott should change everything about the story, not just the end. First order of business: DO NOT hire Damon Lindelof if you want an intelligent, coherent story. You hire Damon Lindelof if you wanna jerk the audience around for awhile with illogical bullshit and then leave them with no resolution. Huh. Sounds like Prometheus, alright. |

I shot the kid. Then realised I'd have to sit through 20 mins of cutscenes again to get back to that point.....and another 3 times so I could see all endings (seriously, is it too much to ask for a save just before you make your choice???) They explain the ending better but it doesn't really improve it. Having said that, I'm not a massive ME fan and this is the only one I've played. I still put 60+ hours of gameplay into 2 playthroughs and was dissapointed that all my choices didn't seem to matter in the end. One thing that still bugs me is if you pick the red option, you don't see ALL the consequences of it. |

Never have I read so much mentally retarded diarrhoea in my whole life. X360A, please remove the comments feature. It is wasted on these bickering, asinine, trogodyte, degenerate children. As for the ME3 original ending, I had only tried Destroy and Control and I didn't like either of them for lacking context. With the EC DLC, I went with Destroy and was very pleased with the ending because, like I said, the galaxy would rebuild and even the Mass Relays can be repaired. Yes, that's right, the galaxy is fine even after Destroy. Organic Life prevails, Shepard survives... |
